Wear whatever you like, why do you think that's unreasonable?

RickiTarr · 20/05/2021 16:31

I think they’re pretty much over now, fashion wise, but fine for comfies if you like them.

Excited101 · 20/05/2021 16:31

Every ruddy day!

Purplecatshopaholic · 20/05/2021 16:31

I haven’t for a while as I haven’t worn jeans for a while. But i have numerous pairs and will wear them with pride when I want to! What’s the deal with skinnies anyway

cocoloco987 · 20/05/2021 16:32

Shops are still packed full of multiple options of skinny jeans so of course people (including me) are still wearing them!

SnarkyBag · 20/05/2021 16:33

I do they’re practical for work and to be honest I can’t be arsed to rethink shoes/ankle boots. I do have a nice pair of straight cut jeans for Gap but that’s as far as I’ll go in terms of changing my ways.

I was at a shopping centre last week and pretty much 90% of women including young teens right through to middle age were wearing skinny jeans 🤷‍♀️

999Alex · 20/05/2021 16:33

Me! But to be honest it's all I seem to see in the shops. I've heard flares etc are coming bk but I still see rows and rows of skinny jeans.

I used to love Topshop skinny flare jeans quite a few hrs ago.

cocoloco987 · 20/05/2021 16:40

I won't go back to flares. I'm used to not having soaking wet hems when it rains now

AuntMasha · 20/05/2021 16:40

I’ve been wearing straight and wider leg jeans for the last couple of years. Skinnies look a bit dated now to me, but I’m very fashion-conscious, but if you feel good in them, whatever floats your boat.

DungeonKeeper · 20/05/2021 16:42

Lots of people and the shops still sell them.

I have bought some ‘mom’ jeans though and I love them.

PrincessTuna · 20/05/2021 16:43

I'm in straight legs now.

Not so much down to me being fashionable, its because the lockdown weight gain made me feel constricted in skinnys.

I never really suited them anyway.

KurtWilde · 20/05/2021 16:44

Every day. They'll have to peel them off my dead body before I stop Grin

Grumblesigh · 20/05/2021 16:44

They must account for like 50% of jeans on offer in shops. I have moved on, but I suspect skinnies will be in wide circulation for a while. Carry on as you were!

ZaraW · 20/05/2021 16:44

No haven't worn them for a two years. I don't think anyone really cares if you wear them or not.

wickedwitchofthedance · 20/05/2021 16:45

I still wear my skinny jeans don't care about fashion and what's not in.

Donitta · 20/05/2021 16:45

People wearing skinny jeans now are the equivalent of “moms who insist on still wearing straight leg jeans” 20 years ago.

WineByTheSea · 20/05/2021 16:45

I am too although I am quite enamoured with the idea of wearing something more comfy, but I can’t seem to work out what! I can’t get on board with those super wide leg things that end at my ankle, can’t imagine what I’d wear shoe wise? If anyone has advice please, I’m all ears!

dayslikethese1 · 20/05/2021 16:46

I have some slim fit mom jeans which are quite flattering but I can't be doing with flares; they're so annoying and get all grimy. I still wear my skinny jeans as they go better with ankle boots than other styles. I don't really care if Gen Z think it looks dated.

thiswaytothemoon · 20/05/2021 16:46

I wouldn’t be caught dead in flared or bootcut jeans.

Skinny, mom or boyfriend - either or.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 20/05/2021 16:47

I wear mine every day with no plans to change I have very short legs and they're the best style. I don't like excess material around my ankles

StevieNix · 20/05/2021 16:50

I can’t give them up! Every other style of jeans make me look much MUCH bigger than I am (I’m a pear/apple shape with slim lower legs) they just add too much volume where I don’t need any more volume. I love the look of mom jeans or paper bag jeans on other people but I’ve got too much of a tummy to wear tops tucked in so it just looks dreadful on me.
To be fair I don’t wear super skinny jeans that look like they’re sprayed onto me, but they’re definitely still classified as skinny jeans I would say.

I’m the exact same, I love the idea of Mom jeans but I’d just look like sack of spuds in them because I can only wear something baggy on top to hide the tummy.

Same!

Flares only look good, and then only in a slightly less comical way, on teenagers.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 20/05/2021 17:09

I think skinny jeans stopped being a fashion trend and became a staple several years ago now. And ‘Mom jeans’ look bloody awful.

oneglassandpuzzled · 20/05/2021 17:11

I am. Some of the new styles look very unflattering
