Before SM it wasn't possible to discuss this as many people would get extremely angry, aggressive. Supporters of both sides
Now there is SM and 'sides' have been chosen, lines drawn. It is much harder to start such a conversation.
To be very clear... I lost family to Nazi Germany. I am not anto semite, I am critical of the state of Israel.
I am also critical of Palestine. It has not always been the 'underdog' in this.
Way back in the 80s this conflict was so entrenched that it formed part of modern history O levels. It was in newspapers, across Ceefax etc, every single day.
There is no resolution, as is the case with many similar conflicts.
It doesn't help that the US, Russia, UK and others, have had financial skin in this and have ony exacerbated the situation for their own gains, political or otherwise.
Before you decide to nail your colours to the cause for one or the other side you have to ask yourself a question - what do you think can be done, in the real world, to bring an end to this?
And, when you find that impossible to answer, then what do you do?
Diplomacy may not work for decades, centuries even. But it is probably all we have!
