To think the late Duke of Edinburgh would hate a man with messy hair

peak2021 · 09/04/2021 13:25

Mr Johnson could not even be bothered to comb his hair when paying tribute. Disrespectful.

I can imagine what the Duke of Edinburgh, a man who dressed smartly would think of that. Probably including words that are not printable.

OP posts:

🙄

Harrystylesismyjam · 09/04/2021 13:27

God I hate Johnson’s hair. Do something with it you useless idiot. Brush it, look presentable. Not like you’ve just crawled out from under a hedge after a night on the sesh.

Ocsetldil · 09/04/2021 13:27

You are bang on the money OP. What a lack of respect.

IpanemaChic · 09/04/2021 13:27

Utterly disrespectful by our PM.

Strangekindofwoman · 09/04/2021 13:28

Good god. Don't be so bloody ridiculous.

Ocsetldil · 09/04/2021 13:28

Keir Starmer will be panned because he didn’t wear a black tie when he was interviewed. His hair was smart though.

Zancah · 09/04/2021 13:32

@Strangekindofwoman

Good god. Don't be so bloody ridiculous.

I hadn't thought of it as what would PP think but you've surely got to be a bit embarrassed that THAT is our public face to the rest of the world?
That buffoon is what everyone judges us by and he looks fucking ridiculous.

HerLadySheep · 09/04/2021 13:33

I quite agree! I remember the fuss when Michael Foot wore a donkey jacket to the Cenotaph and the whoo ha about Corbyn not having a very smart suit, Johnson looks like Worzel Gummidge! He's an absolute disgrace and if he didn't talk with a posh accent would be a prime candidate for a Jeremy Kyle show, sacked repeatedly for lying, multiple affairs and kids with lots of different women, god knows why anybody thinks he's a suitable PM!

DrSbaitso · 09/04/2021 13:33

He's always looked like an Eton mess at every appearance, when he wasn't hiding in a fridge. He's disrespected the nation and other world leaders on enough occasions, why think he would be any different for Prince Philip?

rainbowthoughts · 09/04/2021 13:36

I'm not a fan or anything but this post is ridiculous. That's just his hair. And he wears his hair like that every day of the week.

Motnight · 09/04/2021 13:37

I should think that Prince Philip wouldn't have cared less about how Boris looked. Or said.

Soothes · 09/04/2021 13:38

Not related to Prince Philip but isn't the PM's hair deliberate? I remarked to DH last night that everything about every TV appearance is styled to the hilt, there's no way he wouldn't have had his hair combed, if that's what the desired image required.

thecognoscenti · 09/04/2021 13:40

Yes BJ does it deliberately. It's part of his schtick. I know someone who has been in work meetings with him and he will mess it up deliberately before he goes anywhere he might be seen by the public or press. It allows him to get away with being a total shit because there's an element of 'aw, silly old Boris'. He's a very, very crafty manipulator of opinion.

Yep this. I’ve been told that by people as well.

And Michael Foot's coat wasn't even a donkey jacket.
Thatwentbadly · 09/04/2021 13:44

I think everything about Boris appearance, including using Boris instead of Alexander is deliberate. If he is slightly eccentric Boris then is behaviour is more easily over looked that of Prime Minister Mr Johnson. At the moment hair dressers are closed so now is probably not the time to be criticising someone’s hair.

teaandcustardcreamsx · 09/04/2021 13:45

YABU, he’s keeping his quarantine hair like the rest of us peasants WinkGrin

Soothes · 09/04/2021 13:46

This is why I object to him being referred to as BJ etc, it's all part of the subliminal widescale acceptance that it's OK we have a "loveable" buffoon in charge.

ErrolTheDragon · 09/04/2021 13:47

Yes, I doubt he'd have given it a toss. Maybe might have cracked a joke about it at BJs expense, I suppose.
Archiduchesse · 09/04/2021 13:47

Quite agree with you OP. He changed into a black suit and tie but couldn't be bothered to run a brush through his hair. Very disrespectful.

Antiqueanniesmagiclanternshow · 09/04/2021 13:47

read this article about Boris and his public speaking engagements

reaction.life/jeremy-vine-my-boris-story/

every single thing this man does is thought through, is deliberate.

he is exceptionally clever and manipulative and this is why he is so very dangerous.

NewIdeasToday · 09/04/2021 13:48

“ At the moment hair dressers are closed so now is probably not the time to be criticising someone’s hair.”

Boris could do what many others have done - but some clippers from Amazon and ask his wife to trim his hair.

I am not a Royalist. But I think it’s really disrespectful for our Prime Minister to look such a mess on a TV interview that will be shown around the world.

KoalaOok · 09/04/2021 13:49

He can't do anything about it until April 12th unless he puts a hat on. I don't think Prince Philip would care about the state of Boris's hair.

It wasn't even a donkey jacket, it was a short overcoat - and an expensive one too, bought in Harrods! Talk about 'fake news'...

These days, the coat is held by the People's History Museum in Manchester: phm.org.uk/blogposts/steven-fielding-highlights-five-objects-in-a-series-of-films-for-phm/

Shopliftersoftheworldunite · 09/04/2021 13:50

Couldn’t give a fuck what DoE would have thought but I had the same thought with all the announcements about lockdown, the extreme restrictions of our civil liberties for almost a year and talking about the deaths of literally hundreds of thousands of British people (and millions worldwide). How can he cultivate this ‘loveable rogue’ image during a ongoing worldwide crisis unlike anything the vast majority of Britain has faced before?

Looking at Boris Johnson makes me fucking despair.
