To think the late Duke of Edinburgh would hate a man with messy hair

Mr Johnson could not even be bothered to comb his hair when paying tribute. Disrespectful.

I can imagine what the Duke of Edinburgh, a man who dressed smartly would think of that. Probably including words that are not printable.

I have noticed that when he has meetings with other leaders he manages to brush his hair, just not when he addresses the British public, he must think we are idiots, but then the majority of the voting public voted for him, for Brexit for a lot of idiotic things. We have such short memories that in 4 years time, what is left of the UK will probably vote for him and his party again because he is a loveable rouge

NotSorry · 09/04/2021 14:23

What a stupid post YABU

OverByYer · 09/04/2021 14:25

Boris is a disgrace full stop. The stupid hair is just to distract from how appalling he is as PM. Can’t bear him

MrsMackesy · 09/04/2021 14:26

@Cam77

BJ is, IMO, a massive prick, but he probably knows about treating people with basic respect than Prince Phillip ever did.
Part of this sentence really is not true, and it isn't the first part before the but.
Oohhhbetty · 09/04/2021 14:26

Actually I think he would quite like the hair - like him it is slightly mischevious, unwilling to conform and does its own thing. Come on, he was a human who lived life to the full and was full of naughtiness and cheeky comments, he would have liked Boris I think.

constantsky · 09/04/2021 14:27

I'm sure racist old Phillip loved Boris - they both respresent everything wrong with Britain today. Can't see him minding Boris' hairstyle one bit - at least he's not a foreigner!

OpposableThumbs2 · 09/04/2021 14:27

I saw him arrive 40 minutes late to present an award, stop at the door to mess is hair up, and then go on the the stage.

jessstan2 · 09/04/2021 14:28

I doubt the duke cares now about Boris's hair.

DrSbaitso · 09/04/2021 14:29

@jessstan2

I doubt the duke cares now about Boris's hair.
Well his loved ones and the nation might.
vixeyann · 09/04/2021 14:30

He always has the 'I slept in a skip' look. Why would today be any different.

Graphista · 09/04/2021 14:31

It's deliberate, Adam hills has said a few times about seeing him deliberately muss it immediately before being back on air on various shows they've appeared on together and others have commented similarly.

It's intended to disarm and distract but as the daughter and granddaughter of military men myself I'm sure Prince Philip would not have been impressed by this nonsense!

@Thatwentbadly I agree his use of a ridiculous name is also carefully calculated. I never refer to him by it and always by Johnson

The man is a disgrace in many ways and yes this is the least of it but image is important in this media hungry age and he is very aware of that

StrawBeretMoose · 09/04/2021 14:33

Couldn't give a fuck about Boris' hair tbh, it is one of the least relevant things to how the country is run.
Nothing against criticising politicians for their politics, but draw the line at their personal appearance (remember the ridiculous headlines about Theresa May's and Nicola Sturgeon's 'pins'!)

MrsMackesy · 09/04/2021 14:33

ask his wife to trim his hair
He hasn't got a wife. I suspect his ex-wife would like to trim more than his hair.

SerenaRollsAGoodWay · 09/04/2021 14:33

Not to mention his look of a stinking hangover - do you think he even showered today?The man is a disgrace.

CirqueDeMorgue · 09/04/2021 14:34

He'd hate me too then, not had a haircut for months.

peak2021 · 09/04/2021 14:35

@Graphista I always as in the start of this thread refer to the Prime Minister as Mr Johnson, largely because I respect the office/post (unlike the occupant himself).

OP posts:
kattekitt · 09/04/2021 14:35

I really do wish we knew what Prince Philip really thought about Boris, not just his hair, I can only imagine what would have been said behind closed doors.

DrSbaitso · 09/04/2021 14:37

@CirqueDeMorgue

He'd hate me too then, not had a haircut for months.
You're not the leader of the country and responsible for addressing the nation about matters such as the death of the Queen's husband, the death toll of Covid and the restrictions that bind us in the pandemic.
Mugginyouleftrightandcentre · 09/04/2021 14:40

The things that pisses me off most about BJs hair is that a woman would never get away with appearing like that as PM. He is just held to such a low standard.

But, as PP said, I very much doubt Philip is that bothered now!

BashfulClam · 09/04/2021 14:41

His gait makes me angry. This isn’t just due to lockdown he’s worn it like that for years, deliberately! Imagine all the other EU leaders being immaculately turned out and he shows up looking like someone who can’t even comb his hair!

DrSbaitso · 09/04/2021 14:42

A woman who had several children by different men, a string of affairs and her latest child by a man about 20 years younger wouldn't have got very far in the leadership run or election either.
Nith · 09/04/2021 14:43

@rainbowthoughts

I'm not a fan or anything but this post is ridiculous. That's just his hair. And he wears his hair like that every day of the week.
But why? He can't think it's a good look, particularly as he gets older.
whatistheworld · 09/04/2021 14:45

i cant believe that the majority feel that the OP is unreasonable to suggest that our Prime Minister combed his hair.

This is exactly why this country is doomed. The violence in Northern Ireland as a direct result of Brexit. The increasingly majority in Scotland backing independence and little england on the sidelines of the rest of the world.
Boris Johnson is an act, a deliberate act that he puts on to cover his lies and his name is not even Boris. He is called ALEX

BiggerBoat1 · 09/04/2021 14:47

Why?
Because he has no respect for the British public?. Because he thinks we'll all get distracted by his image and forget the absolute shitshow that his time as Prime Minister has been? Because he thinks we are all that stupid?
