Mine are:

Being exceptionally good at slicing bread (straight, even slices every time, even on squishy, unevenly shaped loaves)

Uncannily accurate at guessing the time when I haven’t looked at a clock for hours - I’m never more than a few minutes out.

Tell me the things you can do that are not that impressive!

OP posts:

I am quite good at Tetris.

"Uncannily accurate at guessing the time when I haven’t looked at a clock for hours - I’m never more than a few minutes out." Omg, omg, omg me too! My mum has this ability too! I think there's a secret magical society of us!!! My husband gets annoyed that I go on about my "power" so much 🤣🤣🤣

CrayonInThreeBits · 05/03/2021 20:24

Oh, and I can see spelling/punctuation errors in a page of text without reading it — they kind of stand out, as though they're in an almost-imperceptibly different colour.

NutellaEllaElla · 05/03/2021 20:25

Re-hanging the clocks on the wall when we've changed the time.

Heh. This. It's a blessing and a curse
amymel2016 · 05/03/2021 20:25

I can read a book/look at my phone for hours as a passenger in a car and not get sick

WineInTheWillows · 05/03/2021 20:25

I go to ask Alexa how much time is left in the timer and she says ten seconds most times, even though I'm not clock watching.

I can link any lesson context to the national curriculum.

I can memorise children's books and poems after a couple of run throughs so have a mental library of stories the DC can request on car journeys etc.

tinkiiev · 05/03/2021 20:26

I am also good at tetris and at instantly spotting spelling/grammar mistakes. Maybe they're connected....🧐

Clock in the head is like Jack Reacher and is cool.

AlwaysLatte · 05/03/2021 20:26

I can turn a napkin into Sydney opera house. Life skill 😂

AdaFuckingShelby · 05/03/2021 20:26

I'm really good at parallel parking Wink

LakieLady · 05/03/2021 20:26

I make fantastic scrambled eggs, and am very good at map reading.

Unanananana · 05/03/2021 20:26

I can read very, very fast and take in every word.

JeremyIronsBenFolds · 05/03/2021 20:26

I’m very good at navigating my way around strange places - I’m especially good at casinos in Las Vegas, which are designed to fool you Grin.

VienneseWhirligig · 05/03/2021 20:27

I can wake up two minutes before the time the alarm is set, even if it's a different time each day.

Mrsmorton · 05/03/2021 20:27

Same here. In fact it’s my job Grin

I am another a magical clockless time-teller. Daylight savings always stuffs me up for a week or so.

I cannot cut straight slices of bread or cheese for the life of me!!! V impressive OP. I also can’t walk in a straight line without crashing into the person I’m walking with Blush

I always used to be great at taking the VCR off fast forward right at the end of the ads Grin

Weirdly, my two are exactly the same as yours Shock How odd is that?
Mysteriousmysteries · 05/03/2021 20:28

I can do the time thing too, plus I'm extremely skilled in untangling jewellery quickly and without damage. Can also remember numberplates and postcodes after one run through, as well as how you take your tea. So useful.

Mummadeze · 05/03/2021 20:28

I mentally calculate my shopping bill as I place everything on the conveyor belt and usually get it right within a few pence. It always makes me feel ridiculously proud but I have never told anyone before!

Wbeezer · 05/03/2021 20:29

I'm very accurate when measuring ingredients by eye when baking when i slice a chunk of butter off the block it's often spot on for weight. Q

Chicchicchicchiclana · 05/03/2021 20:29

I can fold a fitted sheet really neatly. Also, socks.

Please come to my house, you could save me a good 20 minutes a year I reckon!
