Has anyone else watched this? I feel robbed of the six hours of my life that I committed to this. What started off with a lot of promise just turned into utter wank. Big thumbs down from me, Netflix.

I'm not going to watch it as I heard it when it was the Book at Bedtime on Radio 4 and felt that even at that abridged length the initial enjoyment followed by sheer disappointment was an utter waste of time I will never get back.

Is it based on the book? I really enjoyed the book until the last few chapters where the “twist” was so ridiculous it ruined it for me!

I read the book recently. I've read a lot of rubbish in my time but the ending was THE MOST LUDICROUS thing I've ever read. Utter nonsense.

Haven't seen it but I've read the book and I have to say it had one of the most infuriating and ridiculous endings I've ever come across in fiction.

Because it reels you in with perfectly intriguing episodes at the start. It then begins to lose its way in the middle. Of course they leave the outrageously ridiculous ending to the last 20 minutes, by which time you've committed so you'll see it through.

Felt the same when I read the book.

It had so much promise! I kept thinking, ooh is she the puppet or puppet master? Is he really such a bastard? Yes, yes he is, that poor woman, oh no, she's dangerous. What is she playing at? Etc. Then to have it end like that, well, I feel very disappointed indeed.

It was quickly obvious from the start that it was fiction and some woe involved.

You see I love fantasy/SF but to me absolutely fucking magical bollocks does not belong in contemporary suspense thrillers that appears to be set in the real world.

Watched one ep. Wondered why a show with no hook was on tv and getting viewers. Looked up the ending. Now won’t be watching any more!

Finished watching it tonight. I enjoyed it but it definitely lost its way after episode 4 and as soon as Louise got to the naice house's front door I realised the twist. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I really didn't want it to be woo, I wanted it to be that maybe David was the really unwell one and Adele was actually controlling him, but ah well.

I have to disagree. I thought it was brilliant. I’m not normally a fan of anything paranormal but thought the twist was very clever and it kept me guessing all the way through.

I felt it was a huge let down! Was really disappointed :( I thought Adele was perhaps suffering from a personality disorder and Rob was her other personality but no! I mean I love sci fi but this was ridiculous. Especially given that actually it was doing really well up until that point!

It was watchable. That's about it.

I have found my people. I don't think a book's 'twist' has ever annoyed me so much. I'm not sure I will ever stop being annoyed by it. There was so much that I really enjoyed about the story but then it all just turned into a big pile of shite.

Interestingly, I normally avoid anything to do with the paranormal and still would avoid but for some reason it didn't bother me in this and I loved the twist at the end.

Gutted. I enjoyed the first few episodes “finally something with no dead bodies!” I said.

Then I discover I was tricked into watching horror. Not cool.

I've just finished episode 2 and I really like it, but I've a feeling it's about to get very weird though.

I love Louise so far.

Not watched it on Netflix yet but read the book a few months ago. Really enjoyed it so looking forward to watching the series!

I loved it, was completely gripped despite expecting the obvious twist at the end. And then the ending was what it was and I rose an eyebrow and moved on. What a pile of wank. I think they overdid it with the suspense and the whole way through you're expecting a new piece of information to be The Plot Twist and it ends up being nothing. Shoddy acting too.
