To be surprised that at how awful these dresses are?

I'm not sure awful is the right word or why Facebook would think I might like 'Pencil Me In' or 'Treat Yourself'?

Am I being unreasonable?

Even worse are the descriptions.
TestingTestingWonTooFree · 30/10/2020 21:42
I quite like them (but would never buy/wear them).
Cabinfever10 · 30/10/2020 21:43
Are they supposed to be maternity ware or is the way the models are using the pockets
SunshineOutdoors · 30/10/2020 21:43
Got to be aimed at primary school teachers to wear to work? No offence to primary school teachers intended!
Meepmeeep · 30/10/2020 21:43
You might not like them but others do - I certainly do. Tempted by the ‘fish out of water’ dress.
Haworthia · 30/10/2020 21:45
I think if your age is in double figures, you’re too old for them.
Waaay too try-hard quirky.
Sexnotgender · 30/10/2020 21:45
Not my style but they’re not terrible.
PetCheetah · 30/10/2020 21:46
I don't mind 'fish out of water' too much to be fair.
MiddleClassProblem · 30/10/2020 21:46
I was expecting something that looks like a sack. They have pockets!
PlanDeRaccordement · 30/10/2020 21:47
I think too these are for nursery staff or teachers of young children. It’s no different from the patterns on scrubs for paediatric nurses and doctors.
Goldencurtain · 30/10/2020 21:48
Well I've been put in my place, I like them, though wish the length was a bit longer. Felt really sad when Lindybop was shut down as their prints were gorgeous. These aren't quite as good but kind of in the spirit
Echobelly · 30/10/2020 21:48
I like them, but then I'm not a fan of 'chic' or 'good taste'!
SchrodingersImmigrant · 30/10/2020 21:48
IT'S DRESSES WITH POCKETS! SOMEONE IS LISTENING TO WOMEN!😱😱😱
ispepsiokay · 30/10/2020 21:48
I think some of them are quite cute
LadyMacbethWasMisunderstood · 30/10/2020 21:48
I really like them. I would have worn them when slender and in my 20s. I bet my 19 year old DD would like them. They look decently made.

I don't like how the model's hands appear to be in pockets, but you can't see the outline of their hands. Or maybe they're meant to be behind their backs? In which case it just didn't look right.
SnaggleBeast · 30/10/2020 21:49
*doesn't, not didn't.
MrsJBaptiste · 30/10/2020 21:49
I wouldn't wear them but they are 100 x better than any Joules/Fat Face monstrosity I've seen 😟
SnaggleBeast · 30/10/2020 21:49
Oops. Name change fail ;)
TheGoogleMum · 30/10/2020 21:50
I know someone i could see wearing them but she works with children in a library (although would totally dress like that nit at work too!). Need a lively eccentric personality to pull them off I think!
PostItJoyWeek · 30/10/2020 21:50
I like them. I could not wear the high neck, short skirt though. I am too busty for high neck, too aged to feel happy in a short skirt. Plus the rule of tits or legs not both, and my tits ensure it is always tits.
Now if they did them in Get Cutie styles, I would be in.
Oooooooooooooo · 30/10/2020 21:50
I have a skirt with pencils on like that. I have very small children and I bought it because it makes them happy. 🤷🏻♀️
theluckiest · 30/10/2020 21:50
I'm a primary school teacher and I wouldn't be seen dead in them...
ShatnersBaboon · 30/10/2020 21:51
@SchrodingersImmigrant
Have a look at Popsy dresses. They have pockets, but are a bit more understated than these.
