To be surprised that at how awful these dresses are?

I'm not sure awful is the right word or why Facebook would think I might like 'Pencil Me In' or 'Treat Yourself'?

Fuck me. It’s like Heidi meets Jo Jo Siwa, but for grown ups.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 30/10/2020 21:51

@WunWun

I don't like how the model's hands appear to be in pockets, but you can't see the outline of their hands. Or maybe they're meant to be behind their backs? In which case it just didn't look right.
It shows that it's ACTUAL POCKETS 😱
RaisinsRuinEverything · 30/10/2020 21:51

I love the colourful prints, the fact that they’re cotton and have pockets! They are a bit short though!

Purplecatshopaholic · 30/10/2020 21:51

Ooft. Handy if you were presenting children’s telly back in the day, otherwise no, just no.

Oooooooooooooo · 30/10/2020 21:52

The cuts look awful here and low quality but nothing wrong with bright colours! The world has enougj grey in it, especially at this time of year. Smile

COS put pockets in nearly all of their dresses also, just in case people didn't realise.

Delta1 · 30/10/2020 21:52

Good Lord .....

SchrodingersImmigrant · 30/10/2020 21:52

@ShatnersBaboon oooh! POCKETS
Amazing. Thanks!

WelcomeToManderley · 30/10/2020 21:52

My favourite is the “one hand in my pocket pinafore dress” - the photo is of a pinafore dress wearing model with one hand in a pocket Grin

Twigaletta · 30/10/2020 21:54

I love them and I'm not a primary school teacher.

Iamthewombat · 30/10/2020 21:56

Christ almighty! They are heinous. I, too, would be concerned if any kind of ad tracker thought that I’d want to wear stuff like that.

Crunchymum · 30/10/2020 21:57

I'm too old and too fat but liked a good few of them (and to my eternal shame I did a pic collage of them Shock)

To be surprised that at how awful these dresses are?
PetCheetah · 30/10/2020 21:59

I'm quite surprised at how many of you like them!

You are spot on! Halloween Grin
maggiecate · 30/10/2020 22:00

Well you got them a sale! Just bought this

Oxyiz · 30/10/2020 22:01

Aw, I really liked them, and it was nice not to see pencil-thin models sulking at a camera for once.

mellicauli · 30/10/2020 22:02

Don't click people. I did it once for ugly shoes. Now I get adverts served for yellow and green and brown shoes with flowers on them ALL THE TIME.

BilboBercow · 30/10/2020 22:03

Some are a bit twee. I do quite like the Specs appeal one

Shizzlestix · 30/10/2020 22:03

My word!! Nope, don’t like any of those but was delighted to discover that my new yoga type trousers are a) long enough and b) have pockets!

FairFridaythe13th · 30/10/2020 22:04

@SunshineOutdoors

Got to be aimed at primary school teachers to wear to work? No offence to primary school teachers intended!
That’s what I was thinking! A bit like the bonkers killer teacher that Katie Holmes played (I forget the film name).

I like the zebra dress though...

PetCheetah · 30/10/2020 22:04

@RonaRosi now I've been reminded who JoJo Siwa is, yes, you're right!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/10/2020 22:05

Yes, they have a LindyBop/Hell Bunny Gone Wrong quality definitely.

I love both those brands so ideally would suit me but these have a kind of cheap/gawdy look to them

VaggieMight · 30/10/2020 22:05

I'd assume the wearer owns a sewing machine, they have a homemade look about them.

I've seen way worse on MN though.

GrouchyKiwi · 30/10/2020 22:07

Some of them are nice. I like the rainbow one. Some of them have lovely shapes but the patterns are silly.

They're cheerful and whimsical and 100 times better than basic black.

Goosefoot · 30/10/2020 22:07

I rather like them, r the dea of them, though I feel they are a bit young for me now. I would probably prefer them longer with a v neckline - I find that length is actually not very practical or flattering though it seems very common at the moment. I love the pockets though.

Whitewhite · 30/10/2020 22:07

I quite like some of them!
