To be surprised that at how awful these dresses are?

I'm not sure awful is the right word or why Facebook would think I might like 'Pencil Me In' or 'Treat Yourself'?

They could look a lot nicer - the tops and skirts are paired with mismatching items and they all look far too short and baggy for the models. Many of the skirts would look much better and less garish worn with a plain navy or red slim fit t-shirt. They certainly look more cheery than a Toast burial shroud, that's for sure.

I agree on the names, there's one called 'Pick Me' which makes me think of the Relationships board and the 'Pick Me dance'!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/10/2020 22:25

I wouldnt wear them but I do like them!

twobrews · 30/10/2020 22:25

Got to be aimed at primary school teachers to wear to work? No offence to primary school teachers intended!

A teacher in DC's school wears things like this, she's like Miss Honey from Matilda. The children adore her.

LEELULUMPKIN · 30/10/2020 22:25

I really like the "Just wing it" dress. I would totally wear that in the Summer.

I love a pocket in a frock, especially when on holiday!

hilariousnamehere · 30/10/2020 22:25

Hahahaha I own a couple of these and I bloody love them :) why should toddlers have all the fun and adults just dress in matchy beige?!

(In fairness I have waist length rainbow hair too so maybe I'm not the right person to ask 😂)

ItsNotPinkItsSalmon · 30/10/2020 22:27

I think some of them are okay!
Sometimes I see people in these sort of dresses and think they look great on them and they really pull them off. Wish I could wear a funky dress and pull it off.

What you describe is the sort of style I see people in these dresses in and love it! You sound fab!
YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 30/10/2020 22:28

No one looked good in a dress with pencils printed on the hem.

CutToChase · 30/10/2020 22:28

These dresses are terrifying

Rhynswynd · 30/10/2020 22:29

I quite like them. I have a few Lindy Bop and Pinup Girl Clothing dresses and this would fit in. Trouble is I don’t actually wear any of my dresses and skirts as I live in shorts and tshirts. I just like having pretty bright things in my wardrobe.

jeff1965 · 30/10/2020 22:30

I like this one

I love Harkel clothing. I have a couple of shirts from there. The dresses are not my thing but I think they are brilliant and much better than boring drab grey.

catnoir1 · 30/10/2020 22:31

I like the zebra one.

My cousin would wear all of them.

IsolaPribby · 30/10/2020 22:31

Aaargh, I clicked on the link, and will be getting the ads for these on Facebook forever now! ShockAngryEnvy

Waveysnail · 30/10/2020 22:32

Quite like them but I like quirky.

CrocodileFondue · 30/10/2020 22:32

I like them!! Smile

Diverseduvet · 30/10/2020 22:33

Could totally imagine a nursery or primary teacher wearing one of these, particularly at an event or last/first day of term. Not my taste but I'm sure some people love them, otherwise they'd be out if business!

OohThatCat · 30/10/2020 22:33

I quite like a couple of them, love the rainbow one. I would definitely wear that!

But if they are anything like similar brands, the fabric feels bloody awful (polyester?)

Puglove85 · 30/10/2020 22:34

I’m really surprised by this reaction I really like them!!

What sort of things do you wear if you hate these? So curious now!!!

CrazyToast · 30/10/2020 22:35

I like them, they're cute and quirky. If you are not quirky you wouldnt like them.

MushMonster · 30/10/2020 22:36

I like the walk on the wild side one, blue with zebra prints.
Also the sunset one.

MoonPomme · 30/10/2020 22:37

Ive got a couple of jersey dresses from there, and jumpers.
Got them all in sales and the quailty and fit is well worth the sale prices.
Plus pockets.
I love the zebra print dress.

Colycola · 30/10/2020 22:37

I love Harkel have a few bits. Appreciate it’s not to everyone’s taste. My sister always looks at me a bit Halloween Hmm when she sees me.

I always recall friends who were training to be Infant teachers being told that they should always wear brightly coloured tights as that's what the children saw most of you!
MsRinky · 30/10/2020 22:38

Ha, I just got a Knit Me Into the Stars dress last week. It makes me happy to wear it. It doesn't look like I'll be going anywhere or seeing anyone over this grim lockdown winter, so I may as well please myself.
