To be surprised that at how awful these dresses are?

I'm not sure awful is the right word or why Facebook would think I might like 'Pencil Me In' or 'Treat Yourself'?

They look like the type of thing the female equivalent of Colin the office idiot from The Fast Show would wear.

ihatesandpits · 30/10/2020 22:08

Take me to the stars dress is nice and a few others but that second one. Wow. It would take a quirky person to wear some of them. On the right person they would look great!

lljkk · 30/10/2020 22:09

It's the bell shaped skirt. It will work on some but would drive me batty.
Popsy dresses would suit me... in a parallel universe where I ever needed to buy any clothes.

CosyQueen · 30/10/2020 22:09

Fuck me they are beyond hideous!
They’re the sort of thing people think they are being ‘quirky’ and ‘fun’ but they look like giant toddlers.

Doggybiccys · 30/10/2020 22:10

Some are ok/ quite nice ( the red wrap one on the 2nd page for eg) but the Names are beyond cringe.

trunumber · 30/10/2020 22:10

I LOVE them, love them. Well I love the prints (rainbow and pencil especially) I suspect they're cut badly but if I had a chance of a summer holiday anytime soon I would be buying them

Ratched · 30/10/2020 22:11

I like anything that tells me how tall the model is and where the dress falls on them.

As a 5ft 2ins size 10, everything that looks great online flaps around my ankles!

Not commenting on the style of the clothes, but i appreciate the blurb😁

trunumber · 30/10/2020 22:11

Ps I'm absolutely not quirky. I'm boring as fuck. I just like a bright dress

1Morewineplease · 30/10/2020 22:11

Not terribly flattering, if I may say.

Saratustra78 · 30/10/2020 22:11

People have different taste in clothes. I personally like them, I’m in my early forties and I have always dressed however I wanted. Not trying hard - I always have and I enjoy it. I’m sometimes quirky, sometimes a bit too much, sometimes I wear a bloody Hugo boss suit - all because I want to. It makes me happy to be creative or make statements with my clothes and I don’t judge how other people dress. Seriously the tone of this post

Pinkclarko · 30/10/2020 22:15

Used to love quirky prints in primary colours but since dressing my kids similarly I’ve gone off them. Not knocking them but the pencil one is a bit much for me. Still, I also am not a fan of a toast or or many of those muddy shapeless things many in here like but hey, others may be able to pull it off. Realise I’ve contributed nothing to the discussion Grin

Oliversmumsarmy · 30/10/2020 22:16

I think they look like something Kirsty Allsop would wear

Canyousewcushions · 30/10/2020 22:17

I wouldn't wear them personally but I really like them on other people.

A bit of colour and fun makes a world a much nicer place than it would be if everyone dressed from next or boden.

Deadringer · 30/10/2020 22:18

Awful

NaughtipussMaximus · 30/10/2020 22:19

I’ve got a friend on FB who regularly wears dresses from there. She posts selfies and everyone tells here she looks gawjus, hun.

PetCheetah · 30/10/2020 22:19

We'll, as my mum says, it would be a dull world if we were all the same!

Walk on the Wild Side is nice.

ShesMadeATwatOfMePam · 30/10/2020 22:21

Id rather wear them than boden.

anxiouscrazymum · 30/10/2020 22:21

I saw a lady wearing a dinosaur dress the other day and my initial thoughts are 'what the f**k is that' was that she must have made the monstrosity, but now I reckon she bought it from this sight! Awful, just awful

Cornettoninja · 30/10/2020 22:21

@Oliversmumsarmy

I think they look like something Kirsty Allsop would wear
One of my first thoughts was it looks like Kirsty Allsop and Holly willoughby got drunk and designed a dress range.

I mean they’re not all completely awful but it’s clearly catering to a narrow market

DFAMA · 30/10/2020 22:21

I quite like some of them but I don't think the cut is very flattering and no way would I pay those prices

RiftGibbon · 30/10/2020 22:21

I liked the rainbow one, but then again I don't dress in an age-appropriate way.

user1468538201 · 30/10/2020 22:22

Some are lovely, if I was skinnier I'd love to wear them.

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 30/10/2020 22:24

I think they are some of the most unattractive items of clothing I’ve ever seen. I’ve scrolled through 8 pages and there is but one I might consider (plain red wrap dress).

The ‘quirky’ prints are truly truly bad. Awful.

stickygotstuck · 30/10/2020 22:24

Well, I love most of them Grin
Plus cotton plus pockets, what else do you want? Thanks OP!
