To be surprised that at how awful these dresses are?

I'm not sure awful is the right word or why Facebook would think I might like 'Pencil Me In' or 'Treat Yourself'?

The first few I thought 😳😳😱but actually SS I scrolled through, I found a few fabrics I liked.

However, I'm too fat (& old. I think fat & young would be ok. Or old & slim. But fat AND old - just NO) to get away with wearing them & not being a laughing stock.

Ooh I like a lot. They are silly, but I like silly. I wear a uniform in work out of work I like to be colourful!

I bought a similar dress from princess highway when I was in Melbourne a couple of years ago but tbh I’ve only worn it a handful of times but I do like it. Probably not something I would have bought if I saw it in a store here.

They’re totally aimed at teachers. I think that type of thing originated in America and is a bit cheesy for me (and I teach Year 1, and I’m pretty cheese on toast), but I’ve seen colleagues have this type of thing. To each their own I guess?

Whaaaaat!! Harkle is AMAZING they have gorgeous clothes. Not all of us want to look like Dillard's and dress in insipid navy and black from Next and Boden thank you very much.

I quite like a few of them but they aren't something I would buy for myself as I know I would look like the circus has come to town!!

Mostly a bit young for me and not to my taste / style . I like the jumper with the rainbow on the front and the plain knitted dresses though .

Just look like the dresses that Kirsty woman that finds houses for people wears.

Some are quite ok.. lots are infantile though

Someone at work wears them and she looks amazing...tbf she could make a sack look amazing on her ☺️

They remind me of the kind of dresses I imagined when I was a child that I would wear as a grown up. I also imagined that one day Face from A-Team would be my husband. Neither came to fruition.

It's the faux shock from people who clearly have no imagination when it comes to clothes. I have loads of stuff from Harkle, including the rainbow dress, it's fabulous. I look and feel great in it. What are women actually expected to wear these days?!

Why is everyone using Boden as their comparator of boring grownup clothes btw? Boden is surely the home of the jaunty print? Not to mention the Yoni Trenchcoat.

My friend had just opened her third shop selling dresses not dissimilar to these. So someone must be buying them.

Some of them are quite nice. I like the zebra and hot air balloons.

I agree with a PP that it's nice to see a non-sulky model who's a normal size, who isn't painfully thin or jammed into too tight clothes.
