maybe i am just being paranoid, but i only joined last week and have tried on numerous occasions to join in the threads and it all seems a bit cliquey, anyone else feel the same? or is it just me?

They aren't any cliques unless you class people who know and get on with each other as cliques.

I like talking to people who know me on here. Though I'm on a temporary name change, so a lot of them won't realise they know me..

JoFan · 16/10/2007 14:01

i am in a clique of one

it's very exclusive

JoFan · 16/10/2007 14:02

ScottishMummy · 16/10/2007 14:04

JoFan · 16/10/2007 14:07

SM consider yourself a member

JoFan · 16/10/2007 14:12

have just googled definition of clique and come up with this:

an exclusive circle of people with a common purpose

sounds OK to me

seems to fit most of the time

ScottishMummy · 16/10/2007 14:13

May I just say a HUGE welcome to LittleMissTroubled.

My sister joined Mumsnet and she gave advice on her experiences of having twins. No-one answered or acknowledged her posts which was very rude and has put her off posting.

So yes, Mumsnet can be very cliquey and rude at times.

JoFan · 16/10/2007 14:22

i think we have created a clique within a clique

WideWebWitch · 16/10/2007 14:23

I opened this thread, realised I don't know you, closed it again

har de har, I'm joking. There are loads of cliques on here.

MorticiasMother · 16/10/2007 14:24

I'm not in a clique so there!

Me and my flange of pixies are the only cliques worth bothering with.

talulasmum · 16/10/2007 14:24

jofan; what shall we call ourselves?

JoFan · 16/10/2007 14:31

any suggestions?
