And would you do anything if you could completely get away with it?! Mine is my daughter’s swimming teacher, he has the sexiest smile and is so good with the kids. Totally gives me the flutters but I’m guessing he’s not into overweight bespectacled women in their forties! Grin

There is someone I work with who if the opportunity was there, I would.

Rainbowb · 23/02/2020 21:27

Ooo what is it about him?!

ColourMeExhausted · 23/02/2020 21:28

Yup. Got a random train commute crush, it makes the working day a little bit brighter Grin

PumpkinP · 23/02/2020 21:29

Yep sons teacher. And I totally would. But he’s not single and I am so obviously wouldn’t! Not that he would be interested if he wasn’t anyway Blush

EssentialHummus · 23/02/2020 21:45

Yep, totally. Friend's husband. It's mutual. I'd never act on it, neither would he, but dear god the sexual tension. It'd be funny if it wasn't my life.

Bigblue20 · 23/02/2020 21:48

Yes. Yes. Yes

I even started a thread on him [embarrassed].

Cannot get him out of my head. Suspect he now thinks I am a weirdo who keeps asking him strange questions

VideographybyLouBloom · 23/02/2020 22:06

I also have a train commute crush. I haven’t seen him for ages though. I also tend to see him around the town when I’m looking particularly shit or yelling at DDs/DH. He usually gives me a ‘knowing’ sort of smile. I’m happy to fancy him from afar though and would never do anything, even if the opportunity arose.

Bigblue20 · 23/02/2020 22:07

@VideographybylouBloom they know, don't they? I think mine is embarrassed for me Blush

VideographybyLouBloom · 23/02/2020 22:10

@Bigblue20 he totally knows! When I see him at the station I swear he looks into my soul Blush. I’m sure they do it just to fuck with you.

Bigblue20 · 23/02/2020 22:15

Yep. Definitely. I think the worst are the guys who feel they were ignored as teenagers who have figured things out and now treat every woman with disdain. I blame t'internet. Has taken away our allure Grin

VideographybyLouBloom · 23/02/2020 22:30

Has taken away our allure Yes!

Slat3 · 23/02/2020 22:44

Yes, both in relationships. He would never fancy me regardless but he’s something special to look at - amazing eyes & smile.
I avoid speaking to him as much as I can now!

Rainbowb · 23/02/2020 22:47

I’m sure mine has a knowing smile, like he knows everything I’ve been imagining! Blush

OP posts:
PumpkinP · 23/02/2020 22:48

They always seem to know don’t they! Mine definitely knows so I try to avoid him as much as possible

FakeFraudSquad · 23/02/2020 22:49

Not anymore but at a place of work that I recently left YES.

Tom Sad.

He was beauuuuuuuutiful. I fell in love at first sight then discovered he had a very pregnant wife. Sad

Had to go to a colleague’s wedding and was put next to him and pregnant wife on the seating plan Sad.

He was just everything.

I’m pretty sure he thought I hated him because I barely spoke to him and couldn’t look him in the eye.

Tom

There will never be another Tom. Sad

SuckingDieselFella · 23/02/2020 22:51

There will never be another Tom.

Until the next Tom. Grin

Bigblue20 · 23/02/2020 22:54

but what do you do if your crush is single and you see them a lot? the normal thing would be to ask them out but I am struck stupified instead

Bigblue20 · 23/02/2020 22:55

There 's always a Tom ...

SuckingDieselFella · 23/02/2020 23:00

I see mine quite a lot because I am doing a course and he is my tutor.

I know he knows because he is always extra nice about my answers. He feels sorry for me. Smile

FakeFraudSquad · 23/02/2020 23:03

Yes there might be another Tom but not this Tom. He was the best Tom ever Sad.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 23/02/2020 23:03

Yes.

Crushed on him for years

Logistics/Timing not on our side so far.

Single to the best of my knowledge

Hopefully our day will come.

Bigblue20 · 23/02/2020 23:04

@SuckingDieselfella Oh, the pity niceness??? That's worse than the smirk or look of fear and loathing

You have my sympathies. You'll have to do a complete detox - imagine him old and incontinent with overgrown toenails and ear wax dribbling out of each lobe. Then change courses Grin

SuckingDieselFella · 23/02/2020 23:34

I tell myself it's real niceness rather than pity niceness.

But I'm deluded. Grin

BrainBetrayingMe · 24/02/2020 00:18

I have a crush and its come as a massive shock after 12 years of being content as a single person. Hence my user name.

I wasnt looking, cant imagine anything worse than online dating but this man has walked into my life and stirred up my hormones- I feel like a teenager all over again. I've had no libido for years and now my imagination is running riot.Blush

He's lush. Handsome, funny and brings out my witty side, he's kind and clearly enjoys my company too as he seeks me out, saves a seat for me etc. We have shared interests and values and never seem to run out of stuff to talk about. And he has a lovely relationship with his daughter.

Dd (17) doesn't know about my crush, but told me last night she thinks he's amazing and if I was to ever have a boyfriend, she thinks I deserve someone like this man.

Such a shame he's married.Sad He's an absolute no go area because he's married. I'm trying to squash my crush by imagining him farting, scratching his balls etc but it doesnt seem to be working. 🤷‍♀️ But I will not act on this crush even though my imagination wants me to body slam him against the wall, snog the face off him and do all manner of rude things to him, before we live our happy ever after.
Feeling a little bonkers about it all tbh.

SuckingDieselFella · 24/02/2020 00:32

Why does he seek you out and save a seat for you if he's married?

He's messing with your head. Not a kind man at all, I'm sorry to say.
