To knock on the door and demand my package

I sold my house back in Feb.

Ordered much lusted after coat online yesterday - imagine my panic when I realised that I hadn’t updated by address. Anyway, new coat has been delivered to and signed for at old address according to Hermes tracker.

ABIU to knock on the door and ask for my package?

For context, buyers proved to be very unreasonable & difficult people during sale.

Can’t believe I would be so stupid.

YABU to demand anything

YANBU to simply knock and ask for it.

Why on earth wouldn't you?

SpotlessMind · 23/12/2019 18:23

Well you’ll have to really, unless you want to gift them your new coat!

tinytoast · 23/12/2019 18:24

Yes I would do it quickly before they make moves to send it back and do it now in the next while so its early enough in the night!

slipperywhensparticus · 23/12/2019 18:24

You ordered and got a coat in 24 hours?

iklboodolphrednosedreindeer · 23/12/2019 18:27

You ordered and got a coat in 24 hours?

You have heard of express delivery?

Purpleartichoke · 23/12/2019 18:28

Knock on door and politely ask for your package.

itgetshardereveryday · 23/12/2019 18:29

Why are you so aggressive about it?

Just knock on their door, explain and ask for the package.

JacquesHammer · 23/12/2019 18:29

YABU to demand - it was your error.

YWNBU to call round and politely request your parcel.

Butchyrestingface · 23/12/2019 18:30

What would Yara Greyjoy do? 🔥 💣 🔫 🚪

Nquartz · 23/12/2019 18:31

Of course you can ask for it, I wouldn't go round there demanding anything seeing as it was your mistake.

insancerre · 23/12/2019 18:32

Is your life normally filled with such melodrama?
Just go and ask them
Nicely

Why the need to 'demand'? Just go, apologise for the error and pick it up. So much drama!

EmmaGellerGreen · 23/12/2019 18:43

I’m perplexed about what else you plan to do?

iano · 23/12/2019 18:45

You need to politely ask for it. I recently signed for 3 packages and then realised one belonged to previous owner's grown up son who after 5 fecking years still hasn't updated his details. Your buyer probably took it in by accident. No need to go in all guns blazing.

benandhollyagaaain · 23/12/2019 18:46

If your hermes delivery driver is half as unreliable as ours your package has probably been signed for by the driver and could be anywhere

halcyondays · 23/12/2019 18:48

Just knock and ask for it, politely.

Clangus00 · 23/12/2019 18:49

Why would you do anything else except go and do nicely/ apologetically for your parcel?

WTFdidwedo · 23/12/2019 18:50

@slipperywhensparticus why are you surprised? Amazon Prime can deliver by the end of the day if you order stuff early enough.

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 23/12/2019 18:52

Just go and ask for it. They probably signed for it without even glancing at the name.

Silvafox · 23/12/2019 18:52

benandhollyagaaain - Herpes are the WORST.

GiveHerHellFromUs · 23/12/2019 18:53

Why would you demand? Why not ask politely?

You messed up. They just accepted a parcel sent to their address.

Petrichor11 · 23/12/2019 18:53

YABU to be aggressively demanding stuff since it’s your error!

Just knock, explain, apologise and ask for your parcel. It isn’t complicated!

londonrach · 23/12/2019 18:56

Yabvvvvvu. Just grow up. Knock on door and ask like a normal human being. Honestly you being ott now. Grow up

The2Ateam · 23/12/2019 18:58
