If so, how long do you think you will last before your eyelids droop and you nod off?

I reckon I can last until about 3ish.

my 10 year old is. I am hoping soon after the exit polls are announced he will drop off!

LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 12/12/2019 17:04

I really want to, but I don’t think tomorrow will go well if I do!

Finfintytint · 12/12/2019 17:04

Yes. Have no commitments tomorrow and plan to stay up as late as I can ( will probably doze off about midnight though).

reginafelangee · 12/12/2019 17:04

Got my snacks in. Husband getting some wine. Told work I will be late in tomorrow.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 12/12/2019 17:04

I don’t imagine you’ll have to stay up too long to see which way it is going.

FizzyIce · 12/12/2019 17:05

I won’t be but dh will

Singlenotsingle · 12/12/2019 17:05

No, I couldn't bear it! Shock

JadeDragon23 · 12/12/2019 17:06

Nope. Can’t think of anything worse.

orcaaa · 12/12/2019 17:06

Why, sirzy?

TattiePants · 12/12/2019 17:06

I usually do but I've been in bed this week with a horrible cold so I'll either be up all night coughing and need a distraction or zonked out by 9pm! Hopefully I can manage till 11ish as that's when my constituency is usually declared.

AllTheStuffing · 12/12/2019 17:06

Nope. I’ll watch the first exit poll stuff and then turn in. I have meetings all day tomorrow so can’t be hungover and sleep deprived, and frankly if I can’t drink to excess I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

Bartlet · 12/12/2019 17:07

I will. I normally lie on the sofa dozing and watching as results come in.

I’m thoroughly depressed by this whole election and wish there was a “vote for no one” option but I adore the election night atmosphere and the process of the results coming in.

TuppenceDarling · 12/12/2019 17:07

I’ll stay for the exit polls... and depending which way they indicate will either stay up or snuggle down (dejectedly)

detachablehoof · 12/12/2019 17:07

Yes although I'm so terrified of the outcome! If we end up with a hung parliament I'll be wishing I'd gone to bed

DoTheHop · 12/12/2019 17:08

Will probably. Coverage from 10pm I guess? What channel covers it the best? I'm in a closely contested seat (2 points between them yesterday).
Hoping for the one behind to actually win.

FrothyB · 12/12/2019 17:08

I have to be up at 4:30 to start work at 6, but will probably stay up untill midnight with the baby whilst my partner sleeps, then get my head down then.

SilverySurfer · 12/12/2019 17:09

reginafelangee with snacks and wine I reckon you'll be zonked out by midnight Grin

OP posts:
contentedsoul · 12/12/2019 17:11

certainly not
I'm currently here (obv) and netflixing. Fully intend to keep this up all night.
Contentedsoul does not GIVEA SHIT
They all lost my respect when "Call me Tony" arrived followed much later by "Call me Dave"

They all have the Stature of a teapot.

Just a media circus run by OxBridge PR groups.
It's like a bad comedy sketch, where they've all lost their lines and are attempting to improvise. Shameful to watch....so I don't!!

BooksForChristmas · 12/12/2019 17:11

I can't bear to.

I'll sleep and hopefully wake up to the result I want.

It's DS birthday tomorrow so hopefully it will be a positive start to the day!

BloodyCats · 12/12/2019 17:12

No, why would you? What will be will be, my staying up will not change the results.

I’d rather be bright eyed and bushy tailed tomorrow.

EssentialHummus · 12/12/2019 17:14

Me. I’m ordering in all the food to get me through.

TopBitchoftheWitches · 12/12/2019 17:14

No, have to take kids to school tomorrow and go to work.

toomuchtooold · 12/12/2019 17:14

I'm going to see how the exit poll looks. If it's at all close I'll stay up.

onalongsabbatical · 12/12/2019 17:15

Yes. Got a new bottle of whisky and a bottle of ginger wine to dilute it Grin NO commitments tomorrow and the duvet is waiting on the sofa. DH will go to bed completely as normal rolling his eyes at my strange behaviour. I'll be asleep by two but wake regularly to keep an eye on things, go and wake him if there's anything majorly exciting, and I'll crawl into bed to catch up when he gets up. Majorly exciting would be Jacob Rees-Mogg - who is our MP - losing his seat, in fact the whole country will hear the roaring cheer I intend to emit. Can we keep this thread going all night Mumsnetters?

BlastEndedSkrewt · 12/12/2019 17:15

no - what's the point in that? Just wake up in the morning & know the result
