If so, how long do you think you will last before your eyelids droop and you nod off?

I reckon I can last until about 3ish.

Yep. Just bought coffee. Tomorrow we are either celebrating or having a wake.

twinguineapigs · 12/12/2019 17:30

Yes, I've got to feed baby guinea pigs every hour so I will be up all night.

zemblanity · 12/12/2019 17:32

I'd rather watch paint dry.

GoGoLego · 12/12/2019 17:32

I'm going to put it on on my tv in my room
To drop to sleep to then wake up at 4:30 am doing wtf all disorientated turn it off the go back too sleep

Akire · 12/12/2019 17:32

I will be, should last till around 1-2.

SilverySurfer · 12/12/2019 17:32

Which TV channel will you all be watching? I think I'm going to stick with the BBC, they have been good in the past and I would miss the swingometer.

I will be, I’ve got the day off work tomorrow because my jobs been rescheduled and my little one will be in nursery all day, OH at work and big kids at school. My daughter has her Christmas concert at nursery but that’s all I have to do. I love election results night :) I’ll stay on sofa with it on tv and doze here and there if necessary.

ElizabethMainwaring · 12/12/2019 17:32

Yes. Definitely
Going to sleep now, and then up later.its my second day off after going to teaching part time. Loving it!

ohprettybaby · 12/12/2019 17:33

No. (Although strangely enough I usually do). I may set my alarm for about 3 a.m. to see how things are going.

colouringinpro · 12/12/2019 17:33

what time is the exit poll usually in?

user1494670108 · 12/12/2019 17:33

I'm planning on taking my Phone to bed which I do t usually and the. I can sleep and check periodically.
When does it usually become apparent? I've only ever woken up to the news before apart from the referendum which I found on my phone overnight I think

TooManyHeadaches · 12/12/2019 17:34

Yes! But I might not make it!! Will definitely head to bed once it's obvious who has one, especially if it's conservatives!!

ElizabethMainwaring · 12/12/2019 17:34

I'll be listening to LBC. Ian Dale and Shelagh Fogarty. Great stuff

bluebellation · 12/12/2019 17:34

Yes, just made cake to help us through! We're retired so no alarm to wake us in the morning. I'll probably fall asleep on the sofa from time to time but I'll be in my pj's so can stagger off to bed if it gets too much.

fromthefloorboardsup · 12/12/2019 17:34

I think I'll watch the exit poll, then get some sleep until the majority of the results come
in about 3 or 4am. It's usually pretty slow at the beginning

GrimDamnFanjo · 12/12/2019 17:35

Probably as there is usually at least one "w err e you up for?" Moment.
But if it's a landslide, nope.

fpurplea · 12/12/2019 17:35

I'll be back from work around midnight, DH has work tomorrow and I don't so I'm settling for a night on the sofa. Usually get to 5amish when it's starting to slow down a bit, but depends on how it's going.

fromthefloorboardsup · 12/12/2019 17:35

@colouringinpoll Almost straight away so 10-10:30ish

tillytrotter1 · 12/12/2019 17:36

Sneaky looks at my Kindle during the night, hope the results don't give me nightmares.

fromthefloorboardsup · 12/12/2019 17:36

Sorry, @colouringinpro (I've got polls on the brain!)

Writersblock2 · 12/12/2019 17:37

I’ve got work tomorrow but I can’t sleep for shit anyway so I’ll likely be up until at least 4am. It’s kinda a tradition for me. I do it for the US elections too.

AdalindMeisner · 12/12/2019 17:37

Sadly dd2 will likely wake just after 5 and then I have work to do and school runs etc so no.

TravellingSpoon · 12/12/2019 17:38

Yep, will be having takeaway and have some Pepsi Max for energy. Have had to arrange my shift for tomorrow for Sunday as DD cannot go to school tomorrow after being sick yesterday, so I am making the most of not having to get up until 6am.

I will miss Dimbleby though.

IndecentFeminist · 12/12/2019 17:40

Tomorrow at work would be a write off if I did, the toddler doesn't do sleep.

But I am planning on taking my phone upstairs with me, so I can see updates each and every time he wakes me. 😴

TravellingSpoon · 12/12/2019 17:41

BBC exit poll is normally in as soon as the polls close. They are not allowed to talk about it before then, but as soon as Big Ben chimes and 10 am hits they are allowed to put them out. Its such a heart-in-mouth moment.
