Mainly the brand changing its packaging to be trans friendly. Are we slowly eradicating womenhood? Along with " pregnant person". It feels such a slippery slope.

Ok i hope im not being dumb here, but how can a man get a period? So why would they need to use it? If a women wants surgery hormones etc to become a man. Then surely they would take the meds to stop periods? So they wouldn't need to use it anyway???

Ben will also find out that sex discrimination will still happen to Ben, no matter how Ben identifies. Ben cannot identify out of Ben's born biology.
If I wrote the above using the correct sex pronouns this would be deleted.
I have no intention or rewriting the sentence using gendered pronouns.

i know someone will say their are bigger issues at play i.e brexit poverty etc.

It's the death by 1000 cuts, though. In isolation maybe this wouldn't be a huge deal, but when you combine it with maternity services not being allowed to use words like "mother" and "breastfeeding" and women in sports being beaten by male individuals who for some reason are allowed to identify into the female category and Twitter awash in "don't misgender your rapist or you're as bad as they are" bollocks it all adds up to a very hostile environment for women.

Use reusables. Even better, make them yourself.

My back was a bit put up by this but how many bits of packaging actually have the symbol on it? I've never seen it - maybe they just took it off one thing. Yes, it rankles but it's kind of a mountain out of a molehill by the Mail, IMO.

I am GC, but I'm also suspicious of and uncomfortable with the exaggerated and prejudiced way the Mail and Times are framing articles around trans issues, it's not helpful.

Mountain out of a molehill or a slippery slope?

Totally agree op if you’re a man changing to be a woman surely you’d take the hormones to stop bleeding (and the painful reminder of your previous female life)

If you’re a man transitioning to a woman you’d think you’d want to support Women’s causes?

After I heard the term 'chestfeeding' rather than breastfeeding I can't say I get that shocked anymore, the world's gone mad!

Why would anyone want bastarding periods in the first place? Who the fuck, "identifying" or otherwise, wants bloating, spots, cramps, hormone migraines, PMS and heavy bleeding?
Fucksake. They can have mine if they like.

The packaging has recently been revamped and now some of it has a Venus symbol on, which is what has caused the complaints.

Yes i think in isolation it wouldn't seem as much. But if you add it all together its a very slow but targeted movement to eradicating womens personal space and rights.

Look nearly similar bar its blue. Maybe the new packaging could be thicker, less slippy and blood splattered for realism. I try to use CSP but its cots to build up a decent stash!

It is worrying, it's not right, however I do not come across people in real life who don't say, 'woman', 'girl', 'pregnant woman', etc. The media seem to be making a lot out of a minority. That really is unfair. We can just refuse to along with it, if enough of us do that it should have some effect.

What really annoys me about this is that they have quickly removed the symbol because some people complained about it as it wasn't trans friendly... how many people complained I wonder?
However, hundreds or thousands of people asked them to remove that fucking godawful stink that they now have in almost all of their products - the one that people can smell a mile off so everyone knows they are on their period. They didn't remove the disgusting scent yet they can remove a symbol from the packaging.

Ridiculous. I don't use them any more because of the stench.

YANBU

Change YOUR language any way that makes you happy. Lobby Always to have some packages looking neutral or manly or whatever makes you happy. Leave my language and my identity alone.

To all those trying to erase the concept of the biological woman:

“If there’s a single lesson that life teaches us, it’s that wishing doesn't make it so. Words and thoughts don’t change anything. Language and reality are kept strictly apart — reality is tough, unyielding stuff, and it doesn't care what you think or feel or say about it. Or it shouldn't. You deal with it, and you get on with your life.”

maybe we need a shift in our thinking, yes gender can be anything at will, man woman, toaster, donkey, whatever you want, so lets start using the word FEMALE when we want to refer to the female human and the issues that only effect female humans... tough shit if that upsets women, men , toasters and donkeys, because if you are a female there is NOTHING you can do not to be female, you can yell everyone you are man women, toaster or donkey and we will pretend that you are what ever you say you are ( because lets be honest, IT IS PRETEND cause you are not really a toaster just because you feel like one) you want to be whatever you want, all power to you, but dont try to shame or erase the rest of us who are female just so you are not reminded of what you actually are..... i am no longer woman I AM FEMALE

Yeah this is such women-erasing, twisted unthink. ‘Always’ was my brand of choice but I shall be boycotting.

Is Bodyform any good? Any recommendations?

It must be a very new change then, I only bought mine about 5 weeks ago. Although they could have been on the shelf for a couple of years I guess, not like they have a Use-By date.
