Just sitting here reading some of the old threads, and I sometimes just laugh out loud at some of the posts. The way some posters response to threads is so funny, the DCs will look at me confused " mum why are you laughing? " Blush anyone else do this?

OP posts:

No and I find it hard to believe it when people say things like 'oh I spat my tea all over the laptop reading that' 🙄

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 11/07/2019 17:50

I occassionally say 'hah' and smile, all of this tea spitting, waking up husbands with laughter and not breathing is bullshit and annoying though.

Krazykitty · 11/07/2019 17:55

Some posters comments really are funny, but I don’t think I’ve ever belly laughed out loud though.

I also noticed there seems to be a lot of tea spitting, I thought I may have been the only one who didn’t drink tea whilst on MN Smile

Sparklingbrook · 11/07/2019 18:01

No, maybe a smile.

But no waking the baby/spitting tea over the laptop or being rendered unable to breathe. Confused

NoSauce · 11/07/2019 18:04

No never. I cringe when I read crap like the old chestnut “ I just spat tea all over my computer “ tbh.

Occasionally I will giggle at someone’s wry comment but that’s about it.

ScratchyMap · 11/07/2019 18:04

Sometimes. There was one post that made me laugh until I cried, and I still get the giggles thinking about it. It wasn’t even that funny.

I’ll often have a little smile or a quiet “ha” at a funny post, but no tea spitting or husband alarming.

NoSauce · 11/07/2019 18:04

We’re on the same page Sparkling Wink

twitterbird · 11/07/2019 18:06

I have quite literally cried with laughter at threads on here

herbsmokedchicken · 11/07/2019 18:07

I’ve forgotten what it was now so can’t have been that funny but one post did make me laugh out loud on the bus once, don’t think I bothered posting that on the thread though. Other than that even posts I find funny won’t normally get me actually laughing.

Sparklingbrook · 11/07/2019 18:16

I would love to cry with laughter at a thread, but it hasn't happened in nearly 8 years.

Pinktinker · 11/07/2019 18:17

I’ve done it on occasion, not very often though.

TuesdayAfter · 11/07/2019 18:19

Snapped and farted had me audibly laughing.

Lots of posts make me smile, though.

WorraLiberty · 11/07/2019 18:23

You mean no-one actually rolls on the floor laughing until their arses come off? Shock

ROFL Grin

I've had the odd audible laugh OP but it's very rare.

Lastbustowhitehawk · 11/07/2019 18:24

Rarely but sometimes something will really tickle me, latest example being "boil in the vag curry". No tea spitting here though.

redexpat · 11/07/2019 18:25

I sometimes do.

ilovesooty · 11/07/2019 18:27

No. I'm another who can't understand all the tea spitting and crying with laughter - or my pet hate "howling".

Owlish · 11/07/2019 18:28

I've had the odd fit of hysterics from posts, the kind that almost sets off my asthma, but which DH just Hmms at. 'Tiny wanker' was one of them.

Signhereplease · 11/07/2019 18:29

I do from time to time, but then I dont get out much Its been 6 years

giggleshizz · 11/07/2019 18:32

Some of the poo threads have rendered me unable to breathe. What can I say! I have toilet humour 🤷

MustardScreams · 11/07/2019 18:34

Not usually but there have been one or 2 threads or comments over the (many) years I’ve read here that have incapacitated me. To the point I’ll randomly burst into laughter walking down the street when I remember them. Very rare that happens though.

IveGotBillsTheyreMultiplying · 11/07/2019 18:34

There used to be some spontaneous comedy threads years ago where people were punning e.g. 'do you rinse your mince' and spoof threads eg humblebragging or passive aggressive where I would be wheezing and crying.

MustardScreams · 11/07/2019 18:35

@Owlish tiny wanker is one of mine! Still makes me laugh now

Redglitter · 11/07/2019 18:35

I dont believe for a minute that people spit tea out, wake family members or cry/howl with laughter the way they claim to

Gravelface · 11/07/2019 18:36

Ditto @giggleshizz

SylviaAndSidney · 11/07/2019 18:36

I make a slight snort sound and find myself grinning at some humorous comments, never sat here laughing like a drain though.
