Just sitting here reading some of the old threads, and I sometimes just laugh out loud at some of the posts. The way some posters response to threads is so funny, the DCs will look at me confused " mum why are you laughing? " Blush anyone else do this?

OP posts:
SamBeckett · 11/07/2019 22:09

Ah here is the one I meant ;

MsMustDoBetter · 11/07/2019 22:12

Sometimes. I also think of knee jerk flippant responses to the op's title that amuse me no end. It's so disappointing to read the full post and realise that I can't get my quip in.

DickZillaofTheVilla · 11/07/2019 22:16

Maybe 3 times I’ve laughed out loud like that at something on here and woken the cat up off my lap or something. Mostly when people say they’ve spat out their tea or LOL’ed it’s at something not really funny at all and I just think HmmHmm

LauderSyme · 11/07/2019 22:18

Well. When I posted before I hadn't RTFT but I have now. I clearly have a low humour threshold. Typical snarky bloody mumsnet

Morgan12 · 11/07/2019 22:20

Snapped and farted made me laugh out loud and I couldn't read it to DH for laughing. Think that's it though.

MsTSwift · 11/07/2019 22:22

The other one was a couple that had a standing joke that the dh ripped his top off and ran through house beating his chest and doing the Tarzan shout. The op decided to get him back whipped off her top and ran topless into the kitchen beating her chest and doing the ooooo aaaah. In the kitchen sat dh and their horrified builder going over plans for some building work Grin

Pirandello24 · 11/07/2019 22:27

Snapped and farted definitely made me laugh out loud. Also there was a hilarious "what crazy things did you do when you had your PFB" thread, where someone said they took their microwave on holiday with them to warm their baby's milk, and some other poster said they found themselves outside wearing the same number of layers as their baby, and in a panic took their coat off. I found that whole post so funny- does anyone else remember it?

Abouttoblow · 11/07/2019 22:27

That's the one MsTSwift

Suzi Quatro's Fat Nan in the leather jacket. It genuinely was hilarious Grin

GoBackToPartyCity · 11/07/2019 22:30

I think ‘spud cunt’ has been the only one where I’ve genuinely laughed out lout. It still makes me giggle now!

Stygimoloch · 11/07/2019 22:33

pista the Easter bonnet thread was the only one that has properly made me laugh too. It was brilliant. The looks on the little chicks faces and the total innocent of the OP. I still laugh when I think about it.

OytheBumbler · 11/07/2019 22:39

I remember laughing out loud at the 'that bastard Ghandi' thread for a while. Can't even remember what it was all about now. I think it was because it started out so seriously and then just went silly from there.

MajesticWhine · 11/07/2019 22:57

I have cried with laughter and been rendered unable to speak reading threads on here. It's been a while though.

PoorAnnie · 11/07/2019 23:03

I'm sometimes amused and entertained but the only time I remember crying with laughter was when someone said they'd had a curly perm and they'd been told they looked like Colonel Gaddafi. Might have been on the same thread as Suzi Quatro's fat nan. For some reason it really tickled me and I'm giggling now thinking about it.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 11/07/2019 23:28

I have (not spat my tea out) and cried at many too

One post from a few years ago still makes me chuckle (just snorted thinking about it)

It was school in the 70/80’s -
And how in a science lesson the teacher took the class out they all held hands and then he touched a live wire fence to show how electricity conducts

Hilarious as unbelievable as it may seem we did something similar (though didn’t get to leave the school grounds)

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 11/07/2019 23:29

they'd had a curly perm and they'd been told they looked like Colonel Gaddafi

That is very funny 😁

ZenaThor · 11/07/2019 23:44

Pirandello I was coming on to say the PFB thread too -I am actually crying at the colonel gadaffi comment 🤣

idlevice · 11/07/2019 23:57

I laughed at the photo of the sinister Easter bonnet but was also somewhat awed and impressed by it!

HeronLanyon · 12/07/2019 00:25

Well I just laughed out loud at ‘colonel gaddafi’ remark.

BadLad · 12/07/2019 00:33

The Champions' League final at the wedding thread made me laugh. One poster replied that she had been furious to find male guests at her wedding in the bar watching a match, and that she "had to drag them back to the wedding". The thought of that made me actually laugh.

On the same thread, another poster said that a wedding she was attending started off with the vicar saying "I'll keep this brief - we all want to watch the match".

I'll never understand the hilarity at the Sistine Chapel thread.

InglouriousBasterd · 12/07/2019 00:41

‘Your minge!’ Still makes me laugh. Not sure about any others though.

Bookworm4 · 12/07/2019 00:43

I’m more likely to be amazed at how naive people are or pissed off at coddling parents.

DontTouchMyCurls · 12/07/2019 00:51

I used to, about 5 years ago... not recently. And my tea stayed firmly in my mouth.

Abouttoblow · 12/07/2019 02:53

PoorAnnie Yes, same thread. Think there was also a poster who bought a sequinned jacket and realised they looked like Lionel Blair Grin

Shadow1234 · 12/07/2019 05:39

Yes I have had a few loud chuckles with some of the stories, and boil in the vag was one of them, especially as it was a typing error that started it all off.
The 'Gadaffi perm' just made me laugh as well

Effendi · 12/07/2019 06:09

I have laughed out loud, certainly at some of the posts in classics.
Fat match, Suzuki Quatro's fat nan, your minge etc
Snapped and farted did nothing for me.
