Just sitting here reading some of the old threads, and I sometimes just laugh out loud at some of the posts. The way some posters response to threads is so funny, the DCs will look at me confused " mum why are you laughing? " Blush anyone else do this?

Where is the mugshot behind the counter thread- was half way through and now can’t find it in chat. Could anyone link to it and put me out of my misery?

I did laugh out loud at the poster who had absentmindedly tossed a piece of chicken at a toddler whilst cooking, thinking that it was the dog. Grin

The Balonz thread from ages ago made me properly laugh. Properly funny threads are fewer and further between these days - they are either a pile on, people making the same point or place-marking.

*@dogrilla

The Balonz thread was the only one which made me laugh.

Laughed out loud at the dead cat thread (not as sinister as it sounds) and the supersoakers one.

I did laugh at the Fart Stories thread I must admit. And I have another fart story from this very morning.

I do sometimes laugh out loud. Most recently it was a thread about language mistakes, and a poster commented about an eBay seller who insisted on being paid "in Stirling." Poster declined, saying that was too far to go. I'm laughing now just remembering it.

But my all-time favorite mumsnet thread that had me laughing out loud is the one about the OAP-free wedding. It was started after a spate of child-free wedding threads. It was gentle satire that revealed itself in a very clever way.

I really laughed at a comment recently, proper belly laugh with tears. It wasn't extremely funny but it tickled me. It was on the tread about wearing outdoor clothes and lying on the bed. The comment that got me was "my cat wears his outdoor fur and lies on my bed - the bastard"

Rarely laugh out loud but there was a thread that about Nick Knowles when he had an album out that I did laugh at, DH asked what was si funny and we then spent time on YouTube watching a Nick Knowles video and laughing as it was so awful. The comments on mn about his singing were hilarious.

I honestly laughed out loud and had to dab my eyes at the Sistine screamer.

There's some genuinely funny bastards on here.

The overuse of 'lol' is an epidemic though.
