To feel sorry for Meghan Markle - she looked lonely holding baby Archie at the Polo game

Did anyone else think Meghan Markle looked sad and lonely while holding baby Archie at Harry's polo game yesterday? There she was in the sunshine with her new baby while approx 2 metres away was her sister in law Kate completely wrapped up in her own children looking smug and not even glancing in poor Meghan's direction. There were loads of pictures taken and not one showed her chatting to Meghan or even looking at her, complete zero effort. The only ones who seemed to interact with Meghan and Archie were 1 year old Prince Louis and Harry when he finished the game! Kate is obviously not as sweet or friendly as she'd like the public to believe. Meghan gets so much criticism but she comes across as more down to earth and genuine.

You’re getting this from a small number of photographs that provide no context whatsoever. She could have been there with 50 friends and her entire family who just happened to be out of shot during the 3 seconds she was papped.

Communication is a two way street is it not?

I thought that the DoC looked engaged with her kids and was having a nice day out with them. She didn't look smug, just like a Mum kicking back and enjoying a day out in the sunshine with her family.

If you look at the photos, she was looking in Meghan's direction, but I don't suppose she got much eye contact with the sunglasses MM was wearing.

Unless you were there OP, you won't know what went on.

The ones I saw she looked fine and happy. Kate looked fine and happy watching over her kids.

Of course loads of photos were taken, do you think the press want to show photos of them laughing and getting along? At the end of the day they are sister in laws, not best friends.

On the other hand, I dont buy into a set of selected photos from the sheer thousands that would have been taken that day.

The press have got a right downer on her yet again.

I didn't think she looked lonely but I did think she looked a bit stressed- or not relaxed. It IS stressful taking a little baby out for the day.

I see my soon to be sister in law about 4 times a year. We're always pleasant to each other, but we don't have much in common and we just aren't friends. Why do you care if they get on? It really doesn't matter to anyone, other than those concerned.

The photos I saw showed her frowning. She looks as though she has lost a lot of confidence. I hope she doesn't get PND and the photos were just unfortunate.

Maybe they left the pictures of them interacting on the cutting room floor to play to the narrative.

Honestly I'm sure she's fine. But even if they don't get on, so what? There are loads of people I wouldn't choose to hang out with that I have connections to and that's okay too! Just because they married brothers doesn't mean they have to be beasties OR enemies. They are perfectly reasonably to simply Co exist (or to be wonderful friends).

I haven't even seen the photos but unless they show Kate literally face palming Megan then YABU!

There were photos of Kate and Meghan laughing together in the Daily Mail. Meghan looked absolutely fine.

So if you saw no photos of Kate talking to Meghan, then you saw no photos of Meghan talking to Kate.

When I think back to when I was a new mother I remember the first few months being stressful and feeling a bit vulnerable. Therefore when in social situations with other Mums and their children the other Mums always made a point of letting their older children play together and coming over with their baby/toddler and chatting, giving me advice etc being as I was a first timer and everything was new! I was always grateful to chat to others who had experience of motherhood and worn the t-shirt as it were, especially in the early days!

Youre looking at one picture - do you honestly believe she was by herself the whole time - or perhaps that was the one they sold to the papers because it would garner as much gossip as possible?

I wouldn't read anything into what photos the press chooses to print TBH.

How do you know that Kate didn’t do that in times that they weren’t pictured? Or maybe out of the public eye?. The pictures that I saw showed two very happy families in my opinion, Kate has 3 children and probably spent most of her time making sure they were all behaving and didn’t have much time to give Megan tips!
