To feel sorry for Meghan Markle - she looked lonely holding baby Archie at the Polo game

Did anyone else think Meghan Markle looked sad and lonely while holding baby Archie at Harry's polo game yesterday? There she was in the sunshine with her new baby while approx 2 metres away was her sister in law Kate completely wrapped up in her own children looking smug and not even glancing in poor Meghan's direction. There were loads of pictures taken and not one showed her chatting to Meghan or even looking at her, complete zero effort. The only ones who seemed to interact with Meghan and Archie were 1 year old Prince Louis and Harry when he finished the game! Kate is obviously not as sweet or friendly as she'd like the public to believe. Meghan gets so much criticism but she comes across as more down to earth and genuine.

I wish all the Meghan haters would just fuck off.

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 11/07/2019 15:30

Meghan looks a little uncomfortable in most of the photos. However the press are desperate to whip up the rift idea, so they were probably carefully selected for that reason.

TheCatThatDanced · 11/07/2019 15:32

contrary - you're reading a heck of a lot into Meghan there. She may or may not have PND. She's an older mother (I was too) so you're dealing with that, the emotion and body side of all that - Kate has the advantage of being much younger, she also has a good relationship with her DBro and DSis - unlike Meghan.

Travis1 · 11/07/2019 15:33

@contrary13 you're a bit bitter aren't you? Jesus all that from a dodgy pap photo. Hmm

Grumpelstilskin · 11/07/2019 15:35

Op are you on glue?

CassianAndor · 11/07/2019 15:37

Oh, come on, this is like Sad Keanu. A few snapshots taken by a media who want to foster division between the Cambridges and Sussexes is hardly indicative of anything.

GMtoBe · 11/07/2019 15:37

What a ridiculous thread. Get a life and stop analysing MM's every move.

DidItAgainOops · 11/07/2019 15:37

Kate has the advantage of being much younger

Is she? I thought they were around the same age

dottiedodah · 11/07/2019 15:38

Meghan gets a lot of stick, but she was out in the sun with Archie .probably feeling hot and bothered ,and worrying about baby overheating /getting too much sun and so on.I think a lot is made of the fact they arent "friends" to each other .Before Meghan showed up, No one commented on the fact that Kate ,and Sophie Wessex wernt Bosom Buddies.Kate has her family ,Meghan has her friends and DM .They are quite different girls ,only link is the married 2 DBs (probably also quite different to one another TBH!)

Mrsjayy · 11/07/2019 15:39

There was a few choice photos printed I think you are looking for something that isn't there. DoC was looking after her son hardly smug

Glitter99x · 11/07/2019 15:40

Boohoo looking lonely holding a baby

TooManyPaws · 11/07/2019 15:42

Meghan, on the other hand, is married to the "spare" and gave birth to a child whom the Queen hasn't "gifted" a title to (I don't buy for one second that Meghan would have said "no" to an HRH for her child if it were offered...).

While an HRH this far down the line may well be in the gift of the Queen, Archie is automatically entitled to use a lesser title of his father's as a courtesy title. Several pundits before the nameannouncement pointed out that he would be styled Earl of Dumbarton by normal use. By announcing his name without a title, the Sussexes were making a point that he is going to be as non-royal as any great-grandchild of a monarch can be.

Mrsjayy · 11/07/2019 15:44

The media built Meghan up to tear her down again it was only last year she was being treated like a bird of paradise now she is just a money grabbing difficult spoiled American, the lone picture of her holding the baby is just a symptom of pulling her down.

LadyRannaldini · 11/07/2019 15:46

It IS stressful taking a little baby out for the day.

Only if you make it so, at that age it's a breeze.

StripeySocks29 · 11/07/2019 15:47

You’re reading an awful lot into some photos in the press, just leave them alone to get on with their lives. I’d hate to think someone would look at one bad picture of me and extrapolate so much about my personal life.

Sweetaholic · 11/07/2019 15:48

She was dressed badly way too much material in her dress probably added to the awkward way she held her baby like she was about to drop him. Kate was right to leave well alone not all new mums want 'advice.' Insure she will learn from this and the next time we see her holding her baby she would have nailed it.

" (I don't buy for one second that Meghan would have said "no" to an HRH for her child if it were offered...). "

*"It IS stressful taking a little baby out for the day.

Oh, yes, I'm sure it's ever so easy breezy taking Prince Harry's first born child out in public... with royals... and the world's media and public judging you on every tiny thing from what you're wearing, how your body looks, what baby is wearing, how you're holding him, how you're looking at people, how your nieces and nephews are acting..... WHAT A BREEZE!!!

PooWillyBumBum · 11/07/2019 15:51

I feel more sorry for you who seems so concerned over a bunch of people you do not, and will not ever, have anything to do with or know very much about.

LaurieMarlow · 11/07/2019 15:53

Re polo game, she has had 2 months to get used to holding baby, she looked like it was the first time she had held him

Oh ffs listen to yourself.

Also, what ‘protocol’ has she not followed?

Eliza9919 · 11/07/2019 15:53

Mums always made a point of letting their older children play together and coming over with their baby/toddler and chatting, giving me advice etc being as I was a first timer and everything was new! I was always grateful to chat to others who had experience of motherhood and worn the t-shirt as it were, especially in the early days!

She doesn't really come across as though she'd welcome that, somehow.

In the video I saw, kate spoke to her. She seemed standoffish and awkward though, and you can see that in the pics in the daily mail link posted by a PP: www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-7232993/Duchess-Cambridge-takes-three-children-support-William.html

LaurieMarlow · 11/07/2019 15:54

i don't buy for one second that Meghan would have said "no" to an HRH for her child if it were offered

They declined an earldom. Fact.

Why would they do that if they were gagging for a HRH?

WhosThere · 11/07/2019 15:55

She looks great. She was cuddling her baby. The media are clutching at straws trying to find fault. It must feel very claustrophobic being stalked at every hands turn. Yes she is a public figure but it's ridiculous how invasive people are towards her.
