To wonder what Heart radio were thinking

In sacking off all their local breakfast show presenters and employing Amanda Holden?

Does anyone actually like listening to her?

I can’t stand her so have completely retuned and don’t listen to Heart at all now.

Is it just me?

Not just you. I used to enjoy Jamie & Harriet, then Jamie & Emma, then Jamie and Lucy..... now... I don’t listen to Heart at all....

I confess I loathed one of our ‘larger than life and a bit of a lad’ breakfast show presenters so this means I might listen to Heart again but I can see that losing a local focus is a shame.

Nope I've turned off now! Also realised how over played the same songs were on there!!!
There's so many petitions to bring back the locals but it won't ever happen and I hope they don't. Heart have been completely heartless towards all the staff!

I listened to ours tonight, long news national blurb... nothing I needed to know locally. Will now have to find another station.

As it means they've got shot of the oh so full of himself prat that was presenting it here I might listen to heart again now.

I've never really watched amanda holden in anything so have no opinion. I did like her in wild at heart though.

Really liked the local presenters in the morning. Terrible decision to replace with national show. Have not listened and won't be tuning in.

I love Dixie and Emma. Cannot Stand AH or JT. Heart don't care though. There Facebook page / comments are a hoot lol.

Ah very annoying not keen atall, Emma was a bit bland. The best female co host was Harriet who was actually very witty and professional. I'd rather have someone like that than these celeb names they get in who have had no radio background

It does make you wonder who thought it was a good idea given so many people disagree with it.

AH doesn’t exactly have universal appeal does she?

Out local station got bought out by heart about a year ago. A new local radio has been set up, I've switched otherwise I was subjected to the same dozen tunes over and over again. Utterly dreadful and local news slowly vanished Sad

I thought I hated Heart with James and Becky (Kent) but I really fucking cannot stand Jamie and Amanda..

The other morning, they were talking about the news that Bradley Cooper had split from his long-term partner (the mother of his child). For anyone who doesn't know, this was preceded by weeks of speculation that there was something going on between him and Lady Gaga. Anyway, Amanda's comment on all of this was that she'd loved Bradley and Gaga as a couple in their film and had thought, "Wouldn't it be nice if they got together in real life?" Oh yes - so nice for a young family to split up for the sake of movie fantasy! Lovely for their poor, innocent daughter especially.

I know she's got form for this sort of thing, but her attitude disgusts me Angry

I loved our local Heart breakfast presenters, they were funny and really perked up the school run. Amanda and the man are just dire, I'll tune back in in a month or so to see if they've improved. But I don't hold much hope.

For us it was Lois and Olli, I turned on the radio the other morning on my drive and thought I had the wrong station on.
What a stupid desicion this is.

I was shocked when put heart on on way to work today and had theakston and Holden chuntering away

They got rid of their local presenters at the same time that Capitol did

Everyone I know has turned over away from those two stations (locally it seemed to be 50/50 between the two stations)

!!!! That's who it is !!!

I've had my car radio tuned to Heart for about 100 years. Never know the DJs names, never take much notice to the talking between songs, never arsed to switch around ...

Few days ago i found myself thinking ''who hell is this self important twat barking on and on about herself and her bloody burnt saucepan!?! and what makes her think we'd give a fuck?! Sod this''

... and changed the station to radio 1. That's where it's staying.
