Size 16 with a really horrible overhang/ apron belly. I have lovely bikini tops from Bravissimo but usually wear them under a tankini but it gets so hot on holidays! Would you??

No

CottonSock · 06/06/2019 20:20

I don't and I'm smaller. I'm quite prudish/ self conscious probably

RickAstleyGaveMeUp · 06/06/2019 20:20

I would and I have. Where are you off to? I was about a 14-16 in a bikini in Ibiza and wasn't close to the biggest one there.

JudgeRindersMinder · 06/06/2019 20:20

I do and I’m a lot more plus size than you are! Can you get some high waist bottoms to contain your “apron”?

EskewedBeef · 06/06/2019 20:21

YANBU. Nobody cares, they won't look or notice. Be comfortable.

Eminybob · 06/06/2019 20:21

Personally no, but that is my own issue.
I certainly don’t judge others that do, and would probably admire your confidence.

CloudRusting · 06/06/2019 20:22

Yes if you fancy it - life is for living. If you’re on Facebook maybe have a look at Fuller Figure Fuller Bust, she has some good stuff on this.

lhw92 · 06/06/2019 20:22

Ywnbu. Wear what you like Smile

AnneLovesGilbert · 06/06/2019 20:22

Go for it!

How to get a bikini body?

Put a bikini on your body Grin

Figmentofimagination · 06/06/2019 20:22

I do. I'm size 16-18. I alternate between bikini tops, tankini, shorts, briefs, skirts, swimming costumes.

idoliketobebesidethesea · 06/06/2019 20:22

I do. I favour the pour moi ones, excellent "hoikability " in the bra and big pants a la 50's sort of style. Be comfortable, you're beautiful, your body serves you well. ☀️

WipeYourFeetOnTheRhythmRug · 06/06/2019 20:22

Yes! I do. Get a great, good quality bikini you feel happy in. No one is looking and if they do, fuck them.

NoSauce · 06/06/2019 20:22

If you’re happy to wear one then go for it. Maybe have a look for bottoms that give better coverage? Hold your tummy in. Nobody really cares in holiday about other people.

Neckercheiftheif · 06/06/2019 20:22

Completely depends on whether you would feel comfortable! I’m probably similar to you and I don’t have a problem wearing a bikini! Go for it - as long as you want to and you’re not worrying about what people think

RickAstleyGaveMeUp · 06/06/2019 20:23

In fact when it was hot a few weeks ago and I took the DC to the beach in England I was in bikini bottoms and my t-shirt knotted on just under my boobs. Nobody batted an eyelid, so far as I could see, and fuck them if they did Grin

Beachcomber · 06/06/2019 20:23

YANBU

Wear what you want. Have a great time.

FreedomFidgit · 06/06/2019 20:23

It’s your body - be proud!! Find something with a decent fit and go for it!

I have been up and down the scales in. T adult life and have never felt more gorgeous in a size 18 emerald bikini!!

Sparklesocks · 06/06/2019 20:24

If you feel comfy do what you want.
I know sometimes having a belly you feel comfier in a tankini, but it’s whatever works for you

PlaymobilPirate · 06/06/2019 20:25

I'd DEFINITELY buy big pants to cover what I can (recommendations would be amazing!) I'd never whap my actual overhang out 🙈

Next has some decent roll top bikini bottoms, which are excellent for disguising lower tummy flump. The tops are in bra sizes too which is a bonus.

happystory · 06/06/2019 20:27

Flipping heck, I've holidayed in Greece, Spain, Italy, France, no one gives a flying f**k. You'll look great.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 06/06/2019 20:28

If you feel comfortable, go for it. As long as it fits properly and doesn’t look like you’ve squeezed into it, it will be fine.

EskewedBeef · 06/06/2019 20:28

Roll top sounds awful, it's more like a folded over top that gives some ruching type camouflage.

Geminijes · 06/06/2019 20:29

Have you watched the Sainsbury's ad featuring diverse women?

There is a woman about a size 16 wearing a green swimming costume and she looks amazing.

If you want to wear a bikini then wear one with confidence and enjoy your holiday.

myself2020 · 06/06/2019 20:29

Just get some nice bottoms, and why not? Depending on how tall you are, board shorts, 50s style high waist, or the ones with skirt attached are flattering (and probably others I don’t know about :)
