steaming drunk - no YANBU

but... it is dd's birthday party this pm and i will be serving beer and wine to any parents who want it. i expect them to be responsible and drink sensibly or not at all if they are driving.

so i don't think the nursery have been unreasonable to serve alcohol but your dh has been an eejit - sorry.

oh the oh is an alcoholic - i'm so sorry yup he needs to get help and so do you if you need it. good luck and stay strong.

If dh EVER did that I would kick him out, end of, but, as you said your circumstances are difficult with him being the sole owner of your house.

I think in the society that we live in, it is becoming more and more common practice to have alcohol served at childrens parties.

I've just come back from a 5yr olds party where alcohol was being served, I've had one glass of rose and now come home and settled down with a cuppa.

Not generalising men in particular but, my dh also has an inability to stop at just one or two.

OOOOPs, missed a bit off.

Not generalising all men, but, they do seem to have an incapability of sticking to one or two when there is free alcohol about.
