To be annoyed at woman from DofE car crash?

Whatever we think about Prince Phillip and his driving, the accident happened and two ladies were unfortunately hurt.

However, I am watching This Morning and getting some level of rage about the clear compo grabbing attitude of this lady! Crashes happen every day and she has no need to be splashed across every news paper and programme because she wants an apology!

The Royal Family have even said they have tried to be in touch but not getting a response. What does she want?!

She is a royalist so an invite to a garden party a curtsy from the queen flowers cash money more money a new car (Not that it was even her car) money them to put a roof over her head money treat her as a member of the family and possibly money?

She says they haven’t been in touch. So someone is lying. Why are you automatically assuming they are the ones telling the truth?
I think if someone caused me to have a pretty serious accident where I was hurt, I’d be plenty angry if all anyone seemed interested in is how HE is.

I'm of the he fucked up royaly he was concerned according to witnesses (why would they lie they arnt involved no cash in it for them) an accident happened yes she had a broken wrist but a 2 hour wait for an ambulance when you are ambulatory and clearly not seriously injured is nothing the sensible thing for security to have done would be drop her at a&e ambulances prioritise heart attacks over wrist breaks

From that interview, I took from it that she has also fallen out with her friend that was driving the car.. something about, after many requests, her friends husband has finally provided their insurance details..

As soon as I saw the sad face pic holding the arm up any sympathy I had for her plummeted.

She is just after making money and getting attention now.

I agree! It's the same as any other accident that happens everyday and no one else gets put on tv for it.. some things she was saying just didn't add up either!

From what I’ve read (and I could be wrong), no apology was offered. The Queen and Duke asked to be remembered to her. If I’d been in that accident with my baby in the car, I’d be furious if I hadn’t received an apology as well.

As far as wanting compensation goes, I didn’t watch the interview, but that is a silly idea.

I've been hit from behind three times this year. I didn't get or expect an apology from anyone, that's not how it works. I certainly didn't go to the media. Whichever side is lying about the apology, it's not even the thing that people do nowadays.

Wonder if she’s fallen out with her friend (the driver) in case something comes back on her? I.e. car may not have been roadworthy etc?

I don’t know the finer details but anyone who goes on tv or goes to the papers with their sad faces trying to maximise the attention they receive immediately annoy me.

Why is she so obsessed from hearing from him? I got rear ended a couple of years ago, I didn’t care less that I never heard from him after the accident, although to be fair he said sorry at the time but it was just me and him there. There would have been a cast of thousands at an over turned car.

When I was in a car accident in 2001, the drivers wife, who wasn’t the Queen, never contacted me to say sorry. Should I go on This Morning?
I’m sick of the sight of her compo face, what ‘support’ does she want? I mean couldn’t the Palace arrange for someone to come and wipe her arse? Is that ‘support’?

If you have a car crash the advice is always to let the insurance etc deal with it and offer no apologies or admission of liability, even if it’s screamingly obvious who is at fault.
Obviously this hasn’t been a run if the mill crash because of who has been involved, but I think the woman has really shot herself in the foot with being splashed all over the press.

Aren't we always advised not to admit liability for a crash even if it's out fault? So maybe if he had apologised on scene he would be seen as guilty. Diving instructor advised me during a lesson!! Maybe she should be pleased nobody died and be grateful? Wait for the whiplash claim /compo /requesting the Queen behead him /the Tower.

Stealthpolarbear I wondered that too. Is this just how the RF speak, and they were meaning well - but perhaps advised legally to not use the word sorry?

If I'd been in a car accident that had resulted in a broken bone and the person responsible had released a statement, in order to save face, saying "well wishes have been exchanged" when in fact nobody had spoken to me directly I'd be furious too.
