To be annoyed at woman from DofE car crash?

Whatever we think about Prince Phillip and his driving, the accident happened and two ladies were unfortunately hurt.

However, I am watching This Morning and getting some level of rage about the clear compo grabbing attitude of this lady! Crashes happen every day and she has no need to be splashed across every news paper and programme because she wants an apology!

The Royal Family have even said they have tried to be in touch but not getting a response. What does she want?!

Flipping hell! This is breaking news!!

BlancheM · 21/01/2019 12:07

She must be fucking dense if she thinks the queen is going to ring her up 😂 what a chancer.

Urwotu8t · 21/01/2019 12:07

Well, whatever she has or has not done in the past isn't going to unbreak her wrist is it?

And a broken wrist is more than a minor inconvenience.

neddle · 21/01/2019 12:09

Lulu’s posts have all been deleted, what happened?

LuluBellaBlue · 21/01/2019 12:11

Not sure but they were removed!
And to the PP who asked about children, yes she has two teenagers (that’s been mentioned in the press so not revealing any personal info)

bigbluebus · 21/01/2019 12:12

I was always told that rule number 1 in the event of an accident is never to admit liability - even if you think it is your fault. Surely apologising would be admitting liability.
I have thanfully not been in an accident involving a 3rd party but can't imagine ringing them up to apologise if I did. Surely all contact with the parties concerned should be through their insurance companies once they've exchanged details.

BlancheM · 21/01/2019 12:12

I'm not surprised lulu's posts have been deleted, if the woman is as grasping as she says she is then she'll be on it quicker than you can say 'libel'.

LuluBellaBlue · 21/01/2019 12:12

Part of me does want to contact the DM or someone! Funny as hell be literally just opened a letter from the loan company hounding me for payment (for her wedding!)

Urwotu8t · 21/01/2019 12:12

Now Laura's been deleted she will have to resort to PMs. What a way to earn a living!

ZogTheOrangeDragon · 21/01/2019 12:13

I’ve missed all the deleted posts! Any chance of a recap? Grin

CantWaitToRetire · 21/01/2019 12:14

Lulu, you should be contacting the press yourself. This woman is taking up a lot of column inches in the newspapers at the moment and I'm sure some of them would pay nicely to hear your story, especially if you have proof of your claims - might compensate for what you've lost.

nannieplum · 21/01/2019 12:14

that explains. hubby`s a teacher.

Imissgmichael · 21/01/2019 12:15

Passengers injured in a car crash are entitled to compensation payable by the negligent drivers insurance company.

A broken wrist is hardly just a bruise and can cause post traumatic arthritis. Whiplash related symptoms are not always immediately apparent. Seeing as the impact was so bad to flip over the DofE vehicle it is quite possible thatwhiplash could occur.

well none of us would blame you for talking.....

StarJumpsandaHalf · 21/01/2019 12:16

Lulu if you have proof to back up what you originally posted, then this is one instance when I’d sell my story.

What you said also made me wonder about the nature of her ‘friendship’ with the driver, particularly in the light of what people took from her This Morning interview Hmm

myhamsteratefreddiestarr · 21/01/2019 12:16

She is definitely attention seeking. As far as insurance goes, she has to make a claim off her friend who was driving, whose insurance company then goes after Prince Phillip's insurance company who then need to determine what happened and IF he is at fault.

It is literally a chain of events that happens to determine who is at fault to determine which company pays out.

There is no need to appear on TV having a go at the Royal Family over it. I am not surprised if her friend has fallen out with her over it.

GlitterNails · 21/01/2019 12:20

I was in a car accident this year and still struggle with flashbacks and nerves, as well as pain.

Someone drove into my car while my carer was driving and I was the passenger. Being the passenger doesn’t make it any less.

My carer had to go through my insurance also, so again it’s normal for her to ask for the insurance details. But as witnesses my insurance took details of everyone involved anyway so it’s absolutely the norm for them to speak to all in the car.

nannieplum · 21/01/2019 12:20

she`s milking it for every penny.

throughtheeyeofaneedle · 21/01/2019 12:21

Any chance someone can PM me with a summary of Lulus story?

Elfinablender · 21/01/2019 12:21

Laura, quick there's three ambulances racing that way >>>>>>>>>>>>

ChocolateStash · 21/01/2019 12:22

From items I read, she was complaining PP had not apologised. Later she complained PP & Queen got staff to send thoughts. Police told her RF are remembered to her. She has a broken wrist. Apparently the others involved were shocked but not injured.

DGRossetti · 21/01/2019 12:24

A broken wrist is hardly just a bruise and can cause post traumatic arthritis.

I broke my wrist aged 12 in the late 70s, and it's pained me every since. Not excruciating, but enough that I've become ambidextrous over the years.

MorningsEleven · 21/01/2019 12:25

@Elfinablender

GabsAlot · 21/01/2019 12:26
