Does anyone else have 'the chair' in their bedroom?

You know, the chair? The chair where worn but not ready to go in the wash clothes go because it feels weird hanging them back up if they're not clean?

Then the pile of clothes gets so big you can no longer see the chair. Then when you crack and de-clothe the chair you find things you'd totally forgotten about?

Or is this just me? Am I the only slovenly one?

Chair?

I have a chaise longue. A chair wasn’t enough for my Clothes Pile of Doom.

DameSquashalot · 07/01/2019 21:41

I used to have the chair exactly as you describe. We don't have room for it in our new place - probably a good thing.

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 07/01/2019 21:42

We had a stool in our old bedroom, but there’s not room for it now so I just have the end of the bed 😳

Shoppingwithmother · 07/01/2019 21:42

100% yes!

SerenDippitty · 07/01/2019 21:42

Yes, I have the Chair...

thebear1 · 07/01/2019 21:42

I had a chair, it annoyed me to see it so now I have hooks on the back of the door.

DammitOedipus · 07/01/2019 21:42

Chair? We have no chair. The floor is where the clothes go.

SlackerMum1 · 07/01/2019 21:43

Yes.... I love the chair

dannydyerismydad · 07/01/2019 21:43

I'd like a chair. But I have a floordrobe instead.

EggysMom · 07/01/2019 21:43

I have the (never turned on) radiator. DH has the floor. There is a chair, it's his side of the bed, he doesn't use it and prefers the floor.

rippedtoshreds · 07/01/2019 21:43

I need a chair.
Our “chair” is on top of the laundry basket lid.
A chair would be much better.
Every bloody time I go to put dirty washing in the laundry bin the pile slides off the top.

BornInAThunderstorm · 07/01/2019 21:44

I had a chair but got rid of it for this very reason. Got a posh shoe rack instead

Now the shoe rack is hidden under a small pile of clean used clothes and scarves

Creatureofthenight · 07/01/2019 21:44

I have this chair. Well I assume it’s still there under the clothes mountain.

Babooshkar · 07/01/2019 21:44

Oh yes AND the over door hooks thingy.. I basically live in a cloth room.

CherryPavlova · 07/01/2019 21:44

Totally.

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 07/01/2019 21:44

I have a chair .... and an ironing board that is never free enough of clothes to put down. Clothes get moved into bed when ironing board is needed then put back On the board at bedtime to tidy away 'tomorrow'

JaiNotJay · 07/01/2019 21:44

I tidied The Chair yesterday. It's now home to just a hoodie and my work trousers.

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 07/01/2019 21:44

I have (shhh) two chairs...

HundredMilesAnHour · 07/01/2019 21:45

I don't 'the chair' but I do have 'the Thai cushion/mattress' (similar to the one in the link below) which serves the same role. Blush

thaipillow.co.uk/Thai-Cushion/Thai-Cushion-3-Fold-black-red::345.html

I discovered 3 work dresses buried on it only recently.

Refilona · 07/01/2019 21:45

Yes! The chair is where my clothes go and also where the cushions go when we go to bed.

greathat · 07/01/2019 21:45

Everyone has a chair each in my house

bastardkitty · 07/01/2019 21:45

OMG have you been in my bedroom?

needmorespace · 07/01/2019 21:45

yep - a rather full chair Blush

Ithinktomyself · 07/01/2019 21:45

I bought a blanket box for just this purpose. It is now full and has slightly soiled clothes on top of it.

I have had it a week.

possumgoddess · 07/01/2019 21:45

I had the top of a (very large) chest of drawers. I don't now. (Smug)
