olderthanyouthink · 27/12/2018 21:15

Never! I love our Christmas tree this year and am not looking forward to it going Sad

Blondielongie · 27/12/2018 21:16

I did mine today :) feels all fresh and nice now. I love Xmas though, and they have been up since mid November.

Lazypuppy · 27/12/2018 21:17

Goes down after new years, maybe 3rd or 4th

toomuchfaster · 27/12/2018 21:19

Just finished doing ours, apart from the Christmas cards. Summoning up the energy to put the box away now!

ferrier · 27/12/2018 21:21

On Twelfth Night. That's 5th Jan.

dementedma · 27/12/2018 21:21

probably jan 2nd before I go back to work.
Tree is pretty though and makes the room sparkle, but all the cards and stuff are getting on my nerves now

LokiBear · 27/12/2018 21:21

Always Jan 2nd.

RosemarysBush · 27/12/2018 21:22

Twelfth night.

DrAdmin · 27/12/2018 21:23

Down today, up since the first

ConsistentInsomniac · 27/12/2018 21:23

Sat here right now glowering at mine and wishing I could take it down.

DramaAlpaca · 27/12/2018 21:23

Twelfth night. It only went up on 22nd December so I'm making the most of it.

bellabasset · 27/12/2018 21:24

Mine don't go up till a couple of days before Xmas. When I'm away over Xmas I do it for the New Year.

I like outside lights during the dark winter nights and several of us put plain lights round our stone walls. So decs come down on 12th night

bibbitybobbityyhat · 27/12/2018 21:26

5th January. There have been at least 5 threads on this fucking boring theme on Mumsnet today.

nokidshere · 27/12/2018 21:28

I take mine down New Years Day with a glass of something nice in my hand and the New Years Day concert on the telly Grin

Amanduh · 27/12/2018 21:28

Always twelfth night

Blankiefan · 27/12/2018 21:29

Up since 1st December. Coming down tomorrow.

We used to keep it up until start Jan but find taking it down seems to elongate the break as you get a Xmas period off work and a normal one too.

Haworthia · 27/12/2018 21:29

New Year’s Day for me. They have to still be up on NYE but the next day I’m ready for a clean slate and a tidy house. I’m not religious so Epiphany means nowt to me.

Lordamighty · 27/12/2018 21:31

Every year the same inane question, nobody cares, take them down when you want.

CrookedMe · 27/12/2018 21:35

I want to do mine right this minute but having people over on NYD so better stay festive for another few days Grin

bibbitybobbityyhat · 27/12/2018 22:11

And another tread started in AIBU just now. Is Mumsnet always this dull now?

CrookedMe · 27/12/2018 22:19

Well you've posted on this one twice now just to moan so the level of conversation isn't going to improve on your account is it? Confused

TAMumof3 · 27/12/2018 22:22

What would you like to chat about bibbit ?
Happy to give it a go now ABC murders has finished.

Ours are coming down on Sunday, mainly because we are busy tomorrow and Saturday, but they have been up since 30th November.

I always like them up early (usually 1st weekend in December) and down between Christmas & New Year's Eve

BetterEatCheese · 27/12/2018 22:29

Tomorrow - would normally leave them until the New Year but we are going away then getting a puppy when we come back. Need a good tidy and sort out!
