Since I can’t find a thread in the Christmas Forum?

I love hearing about other people’s gifts, good, bad and humorous.

I’ve had a crappy Christmas (really poorly and missed every party/family day) but loved my gifts from everyone which was my only positive part of the season!

I will start, my favs are:
Hive with Alexa
A handmade poem in a frame from DD2
A Disney quiz game from DD1
Gorgeous Ted Baker pjs from my Mum

I didn’t get any bad gifts this year, so no funnies there!

Kids got some funny musical things in their stockings which were like spinning tops which played Axel F and lit up (and they spent ages playing with them),

What did Santa bring you? X

An iPad
A gorgeous bracelet
A handbag
Benefit make up

GunillaGarsonGoldberg · 27/12/2018 21:19

Grey Gardens were they a special design? Or something you just really needed?

One year I bought my sister 20 tea spoons as she could never find any in her house, she was over the moon!

Weirdest was a hi vis vest from my parents to keep in the car for emergencies!

Best was a£50 Bravissimo voucher and a voucher for a pedicure at a posh local hotel.

Most disappointing was the dash cam I asked for, I told DH to research it properly, I wanted one that recorded front and back. The one he got was cheap and only has a rear camera when you are reversing (not much good when you spend almost all your journey going forwards on a motorway! It also doesn’t fit behind the rear view mirror as my fiesta has a heated front windscreen and there is a big plastic bulkhead there! So he did no research at all!

BachAtTheMoon · 27/12/2018 21:21

My DH got me a box file. I think it is a not so subtle hint to start filing household paperwork somewhere other than random cupboards...

Lochandthistle · 27/12/2018 21:21

Coat
Hair curlers
Garden chairs
Money
Chocolate

I got some lovely presents this year.

GunillaGarsonGoldberg · 27/12/2018 21:22

Lokibear yes make up always good and saves a fortune!

Sugar, no calendar here (usually get one) will have to pick one up in the sale. The chutney will be good for all the Christmas cheese!

GunillaGarsonGoldberg · 27/12/2018 21:25

Trinity, ah the safety present! Suppose may come in useful at some point :) vouchers sounds lovely!!! Shame about the dash cam, can you return and replace with something more suited to what you need?

Bach, I have a box file, will change your life as you will know where to put, bit of a tip, don’t put on a top shelf you can’t reach easily, I end up sometimes shoving the papers on the shelf not in the file and then have to have a clear out every few months!

Loch they sound lovely :)

GunillaGarsonGoldberg · 27/12/2018 21:31

Wow ladies some great gifts there (and good ideas of what to buy for others next year)!

I live getting smellies and candles, books etc. I always think I am easy to buy for! I’ve had 3 days of different new PJs (with being so poorly I have been in PJs on sofa for 3 days).

I also received tickets to the ballet (I have never ever been, I am a theatre kind of girl) hoping I enjoy it!

I bought husband a trip to Bruge, he was very pleased and PlayStation games. As I’ve been so I’ll he has been in his element playing non stop while I sleep!
