Since I can’t find a thread in the Christmas Forum?

I love hearing about other people’s gifts, good, bad and humorous.

I’ve had a crappy Christmas (really poorly and missed every party/family day) but loved my gifts from everyone which was my only positive part of the season!

I will start, my favs are:
Hive with Alexa
A handmade poem in a frame from DD2
A Disney quiz game from DD1
Gorgeous Ted Baker pjs from my Mum

I didn’t get any bad gifts this year, so no funnies there!

Kids got some funny musical things in their stockings which were like spinning tops which played Axel F and lit up (and they spent ages playing with them),

What did Santa bring you? X

Clueless - are you a sprout fan? I love the library book, but I guess if you read and say it was rubbish no harm done!

3 x charity gifts (goat type ones). I was delighted. I hate presents and this year have wangled it so I didn't have to open anything.

Bliss. I've been so much more relaxed.

fartwhenyoustandup · 27/12/2018 21:41

I got some chocolates, a decorative lantern and a scarf. That's it. But I do ask people not to buy presents for me anyway because I don't feel like I want or need anything, and I find it vaguely awkward getting presents off people.

The only other thing to mention is that I pulled a cracked with my boyfriend and there was an engagement ring inside. 😊

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 27/12/2018 21:42

We did 'Want, need, wear, read' so I got some jewellery making kit, gin, a beautiful brooch and a Liberty Christmas Anthology. And then books from my mam and dad. Kids bought me a Magpie mug and chic sardines.

SpikedTea · 27/12/2018 21:42

Radley Purse, all the A-Z 10ps in a case (I collect coins) a DNA test kit as I have been researching family history, Vans trainers, baths bombs and other bits and bobs. Love my gifts 😍

TheFallenMadonna · 27/12/2018 21:45

A dressmaker's dummy, gin and fancy tonic, a couple of scarves, a calendar and a vineyard tour. Nice.

Kbear · 27/12/2018 21:51

I made the mistake of mentioning to DH and DD that I would like a small bluetooth speaker (saves me tracking down the ones that belong to the kids when I want some music) - so I got two - but one is for upstairs so I can do some singing whilst putting washing away haha

I got a beautiful Pandora charm from DH, and new tote bag and purse and slippers (chosen by moi and send by link to him a month or so ago)

DS bought me a make up bag (sequin one from Next - Love it)

DD bought me a fab eyeshadow pencil and some primer (previously discussed that I needed a little something extra on my skin now it's 50....) and it's lovely, she also bought me the speaker!

I loved all my presents

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 27/12/2018 21:51

My Mil got me a magazine. Seriously a magazine from the local supermarket that cost £4.50 (price printed on it)

I know we don't get on but bloody hell, I'd rather she just didn't bother! Slightly annoyed as we gave her a lovely set of bath products that she likes.

Skinandbones · 27/12/2018 21:51

So my hubby doesn't alway buy me for Christmas, he bought a gorgeous knitted jacket about a month before so wasn't expecting anything.
But his present was a echo dot as he knew our daughter hadn't got me one. Instead my son got me a Google mini.
Ah well music all around the house.

Bombaybunty · 27/12/2018 21:52

And a set of £1 wooden spoons from Asda from my sister. She asked what I wanted and I really wanted the Jamie Oliver ones (for a few quid more) so mentioned them when she asked and she just couldn't be bothered by the look of it Sad

Among other things and totally unexpected - a Black and Decker Dustbuster. I'm actually rather pleased with it as my old one gave up the ghost a while ago.
