Since I can’t find a thread in the Christmas Forum?

I love hearing about other people’s gifts, good, bad and humorous.

I’ve had a crappy Christmas (really poorly and missed every party/family day) but loved my gifts from everyone which was my only positive part of the season!

I will start, my favs are:

A handmade poem in a frame from DD2
A Disney quiz game from DD1
Gorgeous Ted Baker pjs from my Mum

I didn’t get any bad gifts this year, so no funnies there!

Kids got some funny musical things in their stockings which were like spinning tops which played Axel F and lit up (and they spent ages playing with them),

The only bad things about Christmas was my in-laws charged us for Christmas eve dinner then served stuff they know I don't eat. 🙄 Also my MIL made little snide comments towards everyone. My husband and I drank every day we were there even though we never keep alcohol in our house and rarely drink when we go out. 🤣

As for presents...

A Pandora bracelet from my husband. I've wanted one for years. 🤗

5 large framed photos of our family. Something I always want to do but never get around to.

Digital images from a newborn photo shoot of our daughter. This was actually a gift to myself.

Chocolates. Yum.

An Amazon gift card, I love Amazon.

We bought everyone bespoke sentimental gifts that they loved which made us really happy. I also surprised my husband with 3 small personal gifts in his stocking.

Lovely Tag watch, I loved but couldn’t justified buying for my self. Perfume and Clanins skin stuff, also a cataplana. We live in Portugal in the winter and this is turning in to my go to,dish for our visitors

DeRigeur - it was a Fever Tree selection. It had 4 different fever tree tonics & Bombay Sapphire, Beefeater, Martin Miller and SipSmith gins. No idea where purchased - Amazon probably.

Main and best present was an electric guitar.

@Misty9 - I got a weird scarf from DP too. Especially after he got me a beautiful one for my birthday, I'm not sure what happened.

One of my male friends did something so good his example must be repeated to all men. Over and over. Til they get the point. He went to Jo Malone, got them to find the profile of his mum & bought a couple of products she uses in the scent she most likes. He was a very popular son this xmas. It's REALLY not that hard, guys!!!

H gave me a bottle of perfume (I’d asked him not too as I broke the bottle he got me recently, he replaced it with a small one) and wireless headphones which were technically free as he used air miles.

DS2 got me an ornament for the tree from his school gift fair. DS2, as we were on trader joes on holiday, bought me a reusable bag from the DC store which I was happy with ($1). We’ve just got back from a day out and the bastard cleaner has cleaned it away even though it was up on the bench top, I’m a bit pissed off at that really.

Most people bought me rum and baileys.. nobody knows I'm 9 weeks pregnant yet! So that was disappointing but I guess that's what I get for being such a piss head (before I got pregnant obviously)

My fiancé however obviously knows I'm pregnant and he got me..

A new car!!! (I just passed my test)

Was a pretty good Christmas to be honest 😍 but it will definitely be topped next year when my little one will be here for us all to spoil! (And I'll be able to actually drink the rum people buy)

My son-it buzzes loudly and lights up the x and I love it. Whenever I disagree I hit my buzzer-very satisfying! From my daughter I got a small plushie hamster-the little devil! I screamed and threw it at her (as she knew I would-I have a thing about rodents ) my mum bought me slippers (but also gave me cash towards a new oven) and my fil also gave me cash which was so nice-get to go and buy myself something nice in the sales-once I get over this bloody cold!!! Been stuck in pjs since Boxing Day :(

Nothing from DP and kids.

Reading festival day ticket from my sister, is for my birthday too.

So many lovely presents here. Xmas is always disappointing for me because DH and the in-laws are masters of gifting utter tat.
