To think nobody actually likes sprouts and it's a huge conspiracy

I did this thread last year but it got ruined by all the NASALTs that troll this forum. Everyone knows they are the worst part of Xmas dinner and take up valuable plate space which could have something tasty instead. Hoping this year that MN has come to its senses.

Hate to ruin your theory but I love sprouts, they are my favourite vegetable, parsnips are a close second though.

MyDcAreMarvel · 02/12/2018 10:44

Yabu I love sprouts and not just with Christmas dinner.

Fatted · 02/12/2018 10:44

I like sprouts.

I eat them all year round.

I don't make a special effort to have them for Xmas unless I have some in.

Derekmorganwasinmybed · 02/12/2018 10:45

Sprouts are my favourite part of a roast not just at Christmas

FamilyOfAliens · 02/12/2018 10:46

Tasty mini cabbages? What’s not to like?

Fatasfook · 02/12/2018 10:46

I really like sprouts.

twoshedsjackson · 02/12/2018 10:46

I love Brussel sprouts and I'm always delighted when they come into season. Plain any time, but with lardons and chestnut for Christmas - superb!

Afternoonteaandicecream · 02/12/2018 10:47

My rabbits like them Grin. I agree with you, they are horrid and the space could be used for something tastier like an extra Yorkshire pud!

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 02/12/2018 10:48

I love them!

Topseyt · 02/12/2018 10:50

I do like sprouts. I don't eat them often, but I do like them.

As a child I wasn't too keen on them, but as an adult I have acquired the taste. My DDs don't like them, so when we go out for Christmas Dinner they give me theirs too. Yum yum.

Sorry to disappoint you.

MrsJayy · 02/12/2018 10:50

I love sprouts i eat them out ofthe festive season. We go to mums for Christmas dinner and bless her she boils them for daysa while Grin

Witchend · 02/12/2018 10:50

I love them.
They're one of two veg that dd1 eats happily. Others she merely tolerates.

Yulebealrite · 02/12/2018 10:51

I have some for dinner today just because...

Yabveryu

LizzieSiddal · 02/12/2018 10:51

I used to be like you but to follow tradition always insisted everyone had at least 3 sprouts on their Xmas dinner plate.

We all love them now and it only took about 5 years 😂

seventhgonickname · 02/12/2018 10:51

Sprouts are delicious.
Who has Yorkshire puddings with Christmas dinner. Its bad enough having it with a meal instead of before.

13thWarriorWitch · 02/12/2018 10:51

Now, See what you did? You inadvertently started a sprout appreciation thread Grin

TheFaerieQueene · 02/12/2018 10:51

Sprouts (and green beans) are vile. I shudder at the thought, but DH insists that they must be part of Christmas. He prepares and cooks them, and the rest of the lunch to be fair, so I let it pass - just.

recently · 02/12/2018 10:52

Sprouts are delicious! Just don't boil them.

NoelGallaghersEyebrows · 02/12/2018 10:53

I love sprouts in butter and cracked black pepper. I eat them all year round.

NoelGallaghersEyebrows · 02/12/2018 10:54

Oh I hate green beans though. They 'squeak' when you chew them.

nokidshere · 02/12/2018 10:54

I love sprouts, they are my favourite veg along with cauliflower

whatswithtodaytoday · 02/12/2018 10:54

I love sprouts, just not boiled. Roasted they're absolutely delicious.

OneThreadOnly0101 · 02/12/2018 10:54

They're lovely! But I only like them roasted or sauteed, not boiled.

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 02/12/2018 10:55

Honestly, I quite like them - you just have to make sure you don't overcook them.

MrsJayy · 02/12/2018 10:56

Green beans has no business being on a Christmas plate that is insane !
