What do you call your child’s underwear?

Potty training 2.5 yr old Dd. I hate the word ‘panties’ but ‘knickers’ seems age-inappropriate and ‘underwear’ too generic. Are there any better words out there?

What about just pants... when she goes to school this will also help as they learn how to keep there selves 'safe' by learning about PANTS. She will be able to relate to it better.
