What do you call your child’s underwear?

Potty training 2.5 yr old Dd. I hate the word ‘panties’ but ‘knickers’ seems age-inappropriate and ‘underwear’ too generic. Are there any better words out there?

I hate panties as it sounds really weird to me. I wouldn't use knickers with kids either - sounds old fashioned/for adults for some reason.

If you go to the shops they're all labelled pants arent they?!

Knickers is used on almost all websites to describe underwear for adult women that you would never put on a child.
Have a look on packaging for little girls underwear or on any websites that sell it, I've never seen them described as knickers only underwear.
Knickers or panties are also usually the words that are used in porn to describe underwear.

Round here, pants often refers to smart trousers. I'm not originally from here (yes, we're in the UK!) and pants means underwear to me!
