To ask what weird smells other people like?

My fella thinks I'm weird because I like to go in the garden and smell the damp wood on the shed.
If we are in the petrol station I open my passenger door and inhale as deep as I can which he says is embarrassing because I do it so obviously.
I love the smell of the pink stuff that car bumpers are patched up with aswell.
Also dogs when they've been in the rain.

Don't know how he can talk and say I'm a freak when he sits and enjoys the smell of his own farts.

Anyone else like weird smells that other people would find strange or just me?

A cotton bud ... that's just been removed from my ear.

I like the smell of white vinegar, I've used it for years to clean so the smell of it is the smell of freshness and clean to me.

Also, new carpet. I wish I could go and browse our local carpet shop regularly without looking like a total weirdo.

I still try to sneak a smell of my kids heads, they hate it now they’re older. They shout at me to stop sniffing them.

It's the Benzene in the Petrol that smells good, not the Petrol itself per se.

I love to sniff my guinea pigs. They smell of warm hay, and well...just warm cuddly piggie.

Doesn't everyone like the smell of petrol? Haha.

Yuck to petrol & diesel. I quite like a bit of 2nd hand cig smoke, though. I suspect I'm getting a mild nicotine hit.

Fresh tarmac and creosote

I like the smell of apples that have fallen of the tree and gone all damp and rotten on the ground. (I went to a lovely primary that had an apple tree in the garden so I always feel nostalgic when I smell it)

I used to love the smell of creosote, until they changed it and now it doesn’t smell of anything.

I love the smell of ozone by the sea as well.

Oh and some really old aftershaves - things like Brut, Drakkar Noir and Mandate!

Oh and newborns...I know someone might say that is normal but think about this...

Babies are rarely bathed immediately after birth and some don't suggest bathing them for a few days. So they are toweled off and handed to their Mum. To some degree they are still coated in all of the fluids of the womb and the mother they came out of while everyone is sniffing and kissing their little head. But damn they somehow just smell so good anyway.

The ink they used to use on photocopies at my secondary school years ago, it was purple. I remember our teacher handing out work sheets and the whole class simultaneously inhaling deeply and going “Ahhhhhhhh” whilst our teacher blustering in the background: “Stop that, nooo, don’t do that, stop it!” 😂

Gripe water. Was a tiny bit disappointed my youngest had no trouble bringing up his wind as I didn’t get to buy any.
