To ask what weird smells other people like?

My fella thinks I'm weird because I like to go in the garden and smell the damp wood on the shed.
If we are in the petrol station I open my passenger door and inhale as deep as I can which he says is embarrassing because I do it so obviously.
I love the smell of the pink stuff that car bumpers are patched up with aswell.
Also dogs when they've been in the rain.

Don't know how he can talk and say I'm a freak when he sits and enjoys the smell of his own farts.

Anyone else like weird smells that other people would find strange or just me?

Someone I know likes to sniff their toenails when they have clipped them which I also find gross.

DD (11) sniffs flip flops when we’re out shopping!

My faves are all boringly predictable - marker pens, rain, my DP’s balls armpits.

Yy to the smell of babies' necks. You know your own baby, don't you?
Smoke from a wood fire.
Proper petrol.
Cucumber / fennel / celery (I know some people don't like them).
I hate the smell of mass-printed books, but like the smell of older books printed on 'proper' paper.

Petrol. Hot road tar on a hot day.

Bleach

A box of Crayola colouring pencils 20+ years ago. I used to love that fresh woody smell. The yellow box of 12 pencils always had the best smell. I've been round and sniffed lots of packs this summer and they don't smell like they used to

Me smells really. Hate over perfumed synthetic fabric conditioner smell

Babies smell of oxytocin in order that we nurture them even when we are exhausted.

The smell of skin after the first warm day of spring - some time in late February a warm day comes and the sunlight triggers the release of melanin from the skin (I think that must be what happens anyway) the back of the hand and arm has a very particular smell that I always notice. Is this just me?

Another vote for new carpets and hot water bottles. I also used to love the plastic smell of a new Sindy doll when I was a child. Also the original Body shop vanilla perfume oil back in the 1990’s.

I love the smell of freshly brewed coffee, it's only weird because I don't like drinking coffee.

Also like the luxe smell of my cat's head. It smells like an expensive fur coat, which in a very real sense, it is. 🤔

OP, yes I get the wet wood smell and petrol fumes but for your BF sake don't make it obvious!

Oh, I forgot pipe smoke. I cant stand the smell of cigarettes, & think cigars are almost as bad, but pipe smoke is quite pleasant. It reminds me of my grandfather, he used to smoke it, but never in the house.

Kids’ Wellies used to smell soooo good! They don’t any more but I can never not just check when I pass a rack of them in a supermarket
My younger DD’s clothes still smell so delicious. I know those days are numbered!
Petrol and wax crayons are old faves.
