To ask what weird smells other people like?

My fella thinks I'm weird because I like to go in the garden and smell the damp wood on the shed.
If we are in the petrol station I open my passenger door and inhale as deep as I can which he says is embarrassing because I do it so obviously.
I love the smell of the pink stuff that car bumpers are patched up with aswell.
Also dogs when they've been in the rain.

Don't know how he can talk and say I'm a freak when he sits and enjoys the smell of his own farts.

Anyone else like weird smells that other people would find strange or just me?

Ooh also surgical spirit - remind me of getting my ears pieced when I was younger, no idea why I like it so much as it was a painful experience

I love sniffing the little cleaning cloths you get with new glasses.

Since I was a kid I always loved the kind of new rubber smell like in a trainer shop, new rubber type floor. When I was pregnant with my first I absolutely craved the smell of rubber gloves to the point I chewed them....wtf 😳

I also really like the smell of a newly-opened packet of Post-it notes.

Love the smell of bleach, weed, the air during a thunderstorm, the air after it has rained and also the smell of heat from straighteners/radiators/blow dryers.

Can't stand petrol smell and newborns stink of off milk

Cigarettes and whisky also burning things and the streets after the rain.

New armbands

Yep only like smell of my own newborn. Others people like off milk, I agree.

Although puppies when about 8 weeks old, with their bloated milky bellies smell gorgeous. I can never believe they will grow up to be big stinky dogs 😊

Oh the smell of matches and candles when they've been blown out. I need a candle just of that scent!! Love it

Germolene, and the steam from rose wine when you add it to a hot sizzling pan of onions and garlic.

Plus matches, all liquid fuel, fresh tar, hot creosote, damp wood, bandages and new leather.

I forgot puppy breath

A proper old fashioned turf fire that smokes out half the room, best accompanied by an old turfy smelling book and a peaty malt whiskey.

When you peel off stickers/sticky labels from their backing. Love the smell of the adhesive.

Also I used to work in shop that sold magazines. When the crates of new magazines arrived I loved the smell of them.

I like the smell of my dentists - a clinical mouth-washy smell.

My baby’s farts! When she was only eating breast milk they smelled like egg custard tarts.

My husband’s beard - and his neck/armpits when he’s just woken up and is all muggy and sleepy.

Dh would say the smell of my hair - he always thinks I’m wearing perfume and compliments me when I’m being a bit feral and haven’t washed it for a few days.

I get funny looks at work as I start sniffing the car mats etc! Love the musty smell in 2nd hand bookshops. And it’s a bit gross but when I squeeze a spot, I always sniff the pus! Also love new carpet & many others in pp. Leather - great smell!

I love the smell of new fences, new carpet, new books, dogs paws, puppy breath, my own newborn babies necks and gloss paint.

Oh and I love the smell of musty autumn leaves.
