To want to know WHAT HAPPENED!?!

willynillypie · 05/04/2018 16:52

Guys, I KNOW how sad this sounds but I am on maternity leave with a lot (A LOT) of time on my hands - I was following two threads which were absolutely amazing in terms of the responses - the unforgettable CF house sitting thread, and one about taking a 5 month old baby to the cinema. Went out to run errands, came home...BOTH THREADS HAVE BEEN TAKEN DOWN!! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HOUSE SITTING SITUATION!?! DID THOSE CFS GET THE MONEY!?!

I expect to be told I have no life, this is fine Smile

Apologies for the caps lock, I am just VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE THREADS Grin

The OP asked the couple outright what they were talking about and basically the couple were skint from their honeymoon. The op's dp has agreed to give them some money anyway Shock the story ended up in the Mirror so not surprised it's been taken down!

willynillypie · 05/04/2018 17:10

Ahhh ok amazing, thank you!

I want to know what happened to the lady whose new neighbours knocked a door through into her garden in a listed building. There was a Gran from Spain and a very welcoming corner shop owner!

BerylStreep · 05/04/2018 17:13

I'm pissed off that the one where the OP was plotting a PA end of term present to her DD's teacher was taken down because 'OP had concerns that it was identifying'.

Nope - everyone just thought she was petty and bonkers, even with her drip feeds.

purplecorkheart · 05/04/2018 17:14

The last I saw of the cinema one the op decided not to take the baby to the cinema after researching what damage the loud film could do to the baby's hearing.

There could have been more after I last saw it.

diddl · 05/04/2018 17:21

The Op's OH has agreed to give money anyway-for sure??

"I want to know what happened to the lady whose new neighbours knocked a door through into her garden in a listed building"

Oooh yes!

Can't remember how that ended-was it with the neighbours needing to put stuff bak as it was but the builders who had done the damage scarpered?

thecatsarecrazy · 05/04/2018 17:22

Must me a slow news day nationally too. Our local news atm is full of a homeless man having his pet pigeon taken away. I thought that was bad enough

3luckystars · 05/04/2018 17:23

The smelly mother in law vanished too.

MrsLinManuelMiranda · 05/04/2018 17:24

The 'HOUSESITTING' OP, mentioned the names of all of the parties involved, so she may have requested deletion due to possible outing.

I've seen someone on Twitter saying they just saw the Emily Blunt film but "who brings a baby to the cinema"....I don't know why cinemas allow it.

kitkatsky · 05/04/2018 17:25

The house sitter post is in the mirror Confused

AwkwardPaws27 · 05/04/2018 17:26

The last update of the listed building / patio doors debacle was that the OP had to move out of the flat due to a wall between the two flats collapsing. Sounds like getting it repaired was going to be a massively stressful and drawn out process due to the neighbours scarpering.

Tiddlywinks63 · 05/04/2018 17:29

It's getting farcical the way threads either end up in the papers or are deleted at a poster's request.
☹️

RebootYourEngine · 05/04/2018 17:29

Saw the housesitting thread but not the cinema one. Cant believe OPs dp was going to give them money after all.

SpringNowPlease2018 · 05/04/2018 17:30

I do find it bizarre when someone gives out all the info and then gets it withdrawn because it's identifying - they must have known that in the first place Confused

allchangenochange · 05/04/2018 17:34

Like the lady today wanting to sue her ds school because he had a poorly tummy on a school trip and they wouldn't give him Imodium for a virus. Lots of people telling her how silly she was and them thread pulled. Couldn't help thinking that had everyone agreed with her it would have stayed.

Hortonlovesahoo · 05/04/2018 17:35

There are so many posts that I want a conclusion to. I think the one with the CF neighbour was from Watty?

Anyone know what happened to the one where the couple had a outbuilding that a woman was letting herself into and they gave her fair warning and she refused to get rid of her stuff so they did it for her?

Mrspotter12 · 05/04/2018 17:35

What happened to the campervan thread????

thecatsarecrazy · 05/04/2018 17:41

The mirror has a whole list of mumsnet posts. The one about the lady saying she wanted a healthy baby is there too

vilamoura2003 · 05/04/2018 17:46

What does "pbp" mean? Two I was following have gone too - the lady who is soon to have a view of chickens from a spare room bedroom and another about daytime drinking Confused

iklboo · 05/04/2018 17:49

It's Previously Banned Poster (troll!)

Katsinhats · 05/04/2018 17:49

I had a thread that ended up in the Daily Mail ('Mumsnet user asks if it's OK to leave her 12 year old and teenager home alone overnight'). There was a lot of identifying info so the thread was taken down. I was asking about leaving my 12 and 16 year old overnight because I had to take my 18 year old to London for an interview for medicine and we had to stay there. Dh was working that night and refused to swap shifts which really pissed me off. He was also being totally negative about her applying for medicine and doing his very best to put her down. I was asked to provide an update about how she got on but didn't know where to post it.

Anyway, a year on, and she is thoroughly enjoying her course. She ended up choosing that uni even though she had offers for others. I read out the thread to her when we were in the hotel the night before the interview and she very much appreciated all of the messages of support. I really do believe that it gave her a much needed confidence boost, so a HUGE thank you to all of you!

Lamememe · 05/04/2018 17:57

Wow Katsinhats that's amazing. Good on your dd. Hope she'll find a partner who never puts her down. Her dad sounds like he has a chip on his shoulder. Well done to you and you dc.

NorksAreMessy · 05/04/2018 17:57

Kats..that is so lovely. Glad DD is doing well.

I do love MumsNet
