To want to know WHAT HAPPENED!?!

willynillypie · 05/04/2018 16:52

Guys, I KNOW how sad this sounds but I am on maternity leave with a lot (A LOT) of time on my hands - I was following two threads which were absolutely amazing in terms of the responses - the unforgettable CF house sitting thread, and one about taking a 5 month old baby to the cinema. Went out to run errands, came home...BOTH THREADS HAVE BEEN TAKEN DOWN!! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HOUSE SITTING SITUATION!?! DID THOSE CFS GET THE MONEY!?!

I expect to be told I have no life, this is fine Smile

Apologies for the caps lock, I am just VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE THREADS Grin

OP posts:

@GammaDelta see above - I do apologise if that's old news, but I don't think the thread progressed much past that update

maggiecate · 05/04/2018 22:52

Watty updated a few months back re the patio doors; there was some serious structural damage caused by the neighbours and she'd had to move out. Damage was being dealt with by insurance/legal I think. She was sounding very down, Spangran hadn't been well either so she'd been back and forth between here and Spain

Idbemonica1 · 05/04/2018 22:56

my favourite I wanted to know this too, I still have it in my watch list. OP never came backConfused

AtSea1979 · 05/04/2018 22:57

Didn’t see the cinema one but remember taking DD to the cinema when she was just a few weeks old. She slept through the lot. Now wondering if everyone there thought I was bonkers or worse mean.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 05/04/2018 23:06

so happy for the update on Mr. Rumpled :)

I wonder about the woman who worked in the supermarket and had the customer who brought her flowers. So hope for something nice for her too!

The medal in my safe was from the 1968 Mexico Olympics.

Moneyissue2 · 05/04/2018 23:11

Some great updates on this thread Grin

Thanks for the info wombatron

Bubbles121 · 05/04/2018 23:17

There's a fascinating thread right now about a woman who has a suspected WiFi thief coming in from the loft and pooing in her loo...

tinyme77 · 05/04/2018 23:20

Did Genuiwine (sp.) ever post again? She had a friend who wanted her to do the school run for her but Genuiwine ended up in hospital with perhaps pneumonia.

NotCornflakes · 05/04/2018 23:21

Re the names on the second house sitting thread, I assumed they were just fake names added for effect. Confused Surely no one would put their friends' real names on the internet in a situation like that?

Tartyflette · 05/04/2018 23:30

Hi OldPoundCoins
That's lovely to hear -- I'm very happy for you, and many thanks for the update.

Isayeichnotheich · 05/04/2018 23:31

Yes, I think the only post regarding names on the house-sitting one said I hope you didn't use real names, OP (not do you realise you've used real names).
And since Mumsnet have said it was an experienced poster, I cannot see her using real life names.

storynanny · 05/04/2018 23:32

I hope the poster who fancied and then went out with her gardener is having a hapoy ever after

Isayeichnotheich · 05/04/2018 23:35

On the fake ring one I half expected it'd end up online somewhere, but I couldn't understand why they couldn't wait for the OP to confront her DH, he was about to come back, surely it'd have provided far more fascinating reading 😐

Moneyissue2 · 05/04/2018 23:38

Oh, I could’ve sworn the post said “you do realise you’ve used real names” indicating that s/he knew the op! Completely possible I misread though. Although I did even go back and re read it after twelve pages of nobody saying anything!

Still, it could’ve just been anyone mucking around if they did indeed say that.

Quantumblue · 05/04/2018 23:40

Great update old pound coins .

Lookforthestars · 05/04/2018 23:43

@storynanny I think she is last I heard.

KeziaOAP · 05/04/2018 23:43

OldPoundCoins lovely update, so happy for you Smile

shallichangemyname · 05/04/2018 23:44

Knocknockwhosthereurope
There are legal proceedings. OP got a proper boundary survey and went to solicitors via her household insurance and is standing her ground.

Ginnotginger · 05/04/2018 23:47

There was a thread where the Op's DH lied about completing the ds's Grammar school application form . I know the thread was pulled as it was too identifying but I think the ds was going to get the chance to sit the test and I would like to know how he got on.

ForgotthegoodnameIcameupwith · 05/04/2018 23:50

@OldPoundCoins that's made my day, so pleased you and Rumpled are happy!

I wonder about an overseas poster who was sort of being stalked, a chap kept appearing on the school run etc and trying to talk to her. I hope she was ok and got rid of him.

Daifuku9 · 05/04/2018 23:53

I’m glad I’m not the only one disappointed by deleted threads.

For the house sitting one I had the impression she made up names, and the person pointing out she had used “real” names just assumed that they were real names.

Moneyissue2 · 05/04/2018 23:59

Hmm maybe, seemed strange to me, why point out real names unless you actually know they were real names? As like said previously, the assumption is names have been changed! But then really who would be daft enough to use real names.

I’m so glad the grammar test boy got to take the test, I missed that update.

Moneyissue2 · 06/04/2018 00:00

And gosh, excuse my grammar HmmGrin

GammaDelta · 06/04/2018 00:04

wombatron
Many Thanks for the update. I never Could have believed someone was reading her MN updates and using it against her hope her move went ok. TA

Shinycantle · 06/04/2018 00:17
