To want to know WHAT HAPPENED!?!

willynillypie · 05/04/2018 16:52

Guys, I KNOW how sad this sounds but I am on maternity leave with a lot (A LOT) of time on my hands - I was following two threads which were absolutely amazing in terms of the responses - the unforgettable CF house sitting thread, and one about taking a 5 month old baby to the cinema. Went out to run errands, came home...BOTH THREADS HAVE BEEN TAKEN DOWN!! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HOUSE SITTING SITUATION!?! DID THOSE CFS GET THE MONEY!?!

I expect to be told I have no life, this is fine Smile

Apologies for the caps lock, I am just VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE THREADS Grin

I'd like to know how the lady who was pregnant and escaped an awful partner and went back to South Africa is.

ValleyClouds · 11/04/2018 21:17

I wonder what happened with the woman who had been estranged from a friend for a number of years after a huge falling out. they had seen each other at Christmas and had texted once or twice, things were thawing but nowhere near what they had been.

The friend was getting married in France. A very small ceremony.

The OP had not been invited and felt devastated.

She went and begged her friends parents to ask for an invitation, they were HORRIFIED and flatly refused.

She was asking would she be unreasonable if she went over to France and stood outside the church "just to see her dress"

Everyone was like Shock

DEAR GOD PLEASE DON'T DO THIS!

I want to know if she did

WellThisIsShit · 12/04/2018 05:24

Just saw the end of this thread...

blueduvet that poster came back some time later and posted an update that she was doing very well in South Africa with her lovely family. :)

She was so thankful she had upped and left when she did, and hadn’t stayed to try and work it out etc. She also said thanks to the support she got on here, which was very sweet of her.

She’ll have had her baby and it won’t even be a baby anymore will it?! Gosh it’s funny how some threads and posters stick on your mind...

gildashairflick · 12/04/2018 22:42

@Abouttoblow thanks for the update :-)

LegallyBrunet · 12/04/2018 23:11

Does anyone know what happened with the woman who started screaming in the Sistine Chapel (I think it was) because she was so overcome with emotion and her husband was mortified?

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 12/04/2018 23:20

@OldPoundCoins ❤️❤️❤️

I must have missed that, what did she say?

Mammysin · 13/04/2018 12:36

Forgive if I don't have it quite right but something about wanting a real birth- that a caesarean was having a child lifted out of you i.e. not a real delivery. Nocapes - hope you are still here or some rl friends are . She was expecting a baby girl in January with the lovely Geg - hope they are still together...

Mydoghatesthebath · 13/04/2018 12:41

Screaming in the sistene chapel?? I missed that one. Bloody silly sod could have got herself shot

ignatiusjreilly · 13/04/2018 12:54

The Sistine Chapel one turned out to be a previously banned poster but Mumsnet HQ left it up for a while anyway as people were enjoying it so much!

BlueSapp · 13/04/2018 12:56

Can anyone fill me in on the Thread earlier today about the partner leaving his phone, it seems to have disappeared.

Yogafailure · 13/04/2018 13:08

That's what I was wondering about too @BlueSapp 🤷🏼‍♀️

SaltireSaltire · 13/04/2018 13:45

BlueSapp

Didn’t realise it had!
Whole thing was odd from start to finish.

fuzzyfozzy · 13/04/2018 13:50

No idea about the phone one, I just came on here to ask.

Aprilmightbemynewname · 13/04/2018 13:54

Going back a while but the one about black binbags being washed and hung up to dry on the neighbours washing line?!

leafblower · 13/04/2018 14:04

I remember feeling for nocapes during her original posts then seeing some pretty unpleasant views from her later down the line. I can't actually remember what but I remember thinking she'd posted some nasty judgey stuff that made a few people feel bad.

BlueSapp · 13/04/2018 14:06

Yogafailure, SaltireSaltire, fuzzyfozzy

It was a bit odd, it escalated very quickly so that's why I was wondering if it was a troll or the OP had the thread deleted for whatever reason just curious really

DobbyisFREE · 13/04/2018 14:36

The phone one didn't really get anywhere, the friend had arrived and the OP kept updating to say it wasn't fake. Removal message says Mumsnet are taking a closer look so it may return.

I really hope it wasn't fake as it was quite inspiring to read about a strong woman deciding she wasn't putting up with how much he had insulted and betrayed her.

willynillypie · 13/04/2018 14:40

DobbyisFREE

What was the thread about!? sounds amazing

AdidasGirl · 13/04/2018 14:58

I came on to look for the phone thread from this morning too.

fuzzyfozzy · 13/04/2018 15:21

Can watched threads get a notification when threads go poofwww.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/3221121-can-watched-threads-get-a-notification-when-threads-go-poof

I've put this on site stuff today, I'd really like notifications if I've watched something.

BlueSapp · 13/04/2018 15:30

DobbyisFREE I know what you mean, when I read it at the start I believed it but then there was all the "it is real" posts and the same one posted about three times so I was wondering, I think MN must of taken it down completely.

Its a shame if it was fake because like you said it was very empowering to think she could be strong like that.

willynillypie
The thread was basically about her partner had been texting someone else and slagging her off and saying nice things to the other woman, so she was packing up and taking her ds, and leaving him.

Dragonfree · 14/04/2018 09:07

ushuaiamonamour

You asked about the lass who wanted to go to Uni, but her family were controlling and said no. I think I read an update that said she had contacted the Uni for assistance and had started the course. She was really enjoying the course so far and thanked MN for the support.

WhatchaMaCalllit · 14/04/2018 10:05

The one I'd love to find out what the outcome of it is/was is the one where the garden company was to do a job on a MNetter's back garden and put in play equipment etc. for her child but appeared to do a runner with the money paid up to a point and hadn't done anything in the garden for it. Think there were 4 or more threads on it. I really hope she was able to get her garden done (and that it wasn't a fake thread with nonsense in it).
