I think it is gorgeous. The Daily Mail readership is divided, some believing that Jamie/Jools lack class, one even quoting the “You can take the boy out of Essex...” saying. I find the reaction baffling. It’s as if they do not appreciate style and good taste when they see it.
Or perhaps they are filled with envy? Who knows.

I thought the floorboards throughout didn't look very cosy. I also wondered where all their children's real toys were. I mean other than the tasteful wooden toys - where's the tat?

Daily fail comments section is always full of more bile than the paper itself and that's saying a lot. The bed isn't toy taste, the elvis sign and the things hanging from the ceiling are utterley hideous, but the house is completely lovely and most of the decor is too, especially the childrens rooms. Aside from that elvis thing the house actually isn't tacky at all so you can tell the comments section is mostly jealous trolls.

The house is fabulous and has lots of original features, which I love, but what they've done with it really looks pretty ordinary imo. That bathroom is fabulous though, but I'm not sure I could live with seeing it day in, day out.

I did see it earlier. And thought it was a bit flash if I wanted to be super critical. But it was quite nice really.

Nice house. That wood fired oven must stink the house out when used.
