DH leaves for work at 7.30, I leave for the school run at 8.30. I was the last one in the bathroom for the last 3 mornings. Just got home from work and for the 3rd day in a row there is wee in my toilet! It definately wasn't there when I left, DH works miles away so it wasn't him but someone (or something) has been weeing in my toilet! So what is it? A ghost incapable of flushing? The cat has somehow come way beyond litter training? I mean what the hell is happening?!

Ok, don't want to freak you out, but are you sure there is no one living in your loft?!?

WatchingFromTheWings · 14/06/2017 13:38

You need a hidden camera!

Neverknowing · 14/06/2017 13:38

Is your plumbing all wrong? Maybe it's coming back up?

Neverknowing · 14/06/2017 13:39

Sorry to be boring.
It's probably a ghost of someone who used to love pissing in your house 😊😊😊

Ginger782 · 14/06/2017 13:42

Lol! Do you have any pets? I agree with the camera idea.

WindwardCircle · 14/06/2017 13:44

Are you sure it's wee? Could it be the water in your toilet is being discoloured by something stuck in the tank or the u-bend? If something was stuck in the u-bend the water could look clear after flushing, but discolour as it sat there during the day.

Ginger782 · 14/06/2017 13:44

Sorry, you said you had a cat!
Our cat pees ON our toilet seat if the litter box isn't clean to her specifications. We kept accusing each other of peeing on the seat until we saw her doing it!

Palomb · 14/06/2017 13:44

One of my cats uses the toilet, it's. It unheard of.

DerelictWreck · 14/06/2017 13:45

Mine does this after a long day - it's just not flushing properly is all!

icantfindagoodname · 14/06/2017 14:53

I have told DH to bring home a plunger, a ladder and a secret camera, just to cover all bases.

PeaFaceMcgee · 14/06/2017 14:54

There's a poo stuck in the pipework which is gradually discolouring the water during the day. You'll need to give it a poke!

steff13 · 14/06/2017 14:56

We had a cat growing up who used the toilet. We were very surprised the first time we caught her at it! Do you have a cat?

KoolKoala07 · 14/06/2017 14:58

I'd check your loft grin] I've read stories about people living in lofts and using the house while the owners are out all day.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 14/06/2017 15:05

Phantom poo such round the ubend

29Palms · 14/06/2017 15:05

Sometimes a bit of poo doesn't flush right away, although it's gone out of the pan. While it's lurking just round the bend, it will discolour the water in the pan so it looks like urine. Could this have happened?

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 14/06/2017 15:05

Stuck not such!

happinessbythekilowatt · 14/06/2017 15:11

Placemarking...

DustyMaiden · 14/06/2017 15:13

Put washing up liquid in the pan and poor a kettle of boiling water on it.

Guiltypleasures001 · 14/06/2017 15:25

Shut the lid and put an invisible seal of some sort to let you know if the seats been lifted, such as a piece of sticky tape at the back
or a light sprinkling of talc on the floor, for foot prints.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 14/06/2017 15:29

Careful with pouring boiling water down a loo.
My mother cracked ours doing this

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 14/06/2017 15:33

INtriguing!

I hope your DH does bring home the camera, I think it's absolutely the best option and you can post the results here later

allegretto · 14/06/2017 15:34

We had this too - except it wasnt just wee...

Hidingtonothing · 14/06/2017 15:38

I'm not placemarking for conclusion at all another vote for the stuck poo discolouring the water but am secretly hoping for a more exciting outcome

Goingtobeawesome · 14/06/2017 15:47

In our house we have a main bathroom and an en suite upstairs and thanks to shitty plumbing the main bathroom's toilet likes to share its contents with my loo in the en suite. I wonder if that is the same with your situation?

allegretto · 14/06/2017 15:50

BTW the answer turned out to be that our lovely landlord had given a copy of our keys to builders who were restoring his property next door and told them they could use our loo (and our kitchen) while we were at work.
