I am totally and shamelessly begging people not to vote for Theresa May.
Amongst a host of other reasons (education, policing, housing, pay etc), she has confirmed she fully backs the selling off of the NHS.
Follow link above for the full Naylor Review.

Not going to happen; I'm proudly voting Tory tomorrow.

Sparklingbrook · 07/06/2017 14:29

YABU

Reow · 07/06/2017 14:30

I don't think there's much else we can do now MissBax, aside from hope and cross everything.

The few people I know on Facebook who vote Conservative have removed me Grin

All we can do now is bulk buy booze for Friday in anticipation of either a celebration or drowning our sorrows in despair.

Sparklingbrook · 07/06/2017 14:31

Many people will have sent their postal votes of by now and the links aren't clicky.

Bambamrubblesmum · 07/06/2017 14:31

Liquidating land assets to raise capital and reinvest in infrastructure changes is not selling off the NHS. It's basic estate management. It also releases land for the construction of new homes.

The NHS is not land, its universal healthcare for all. Any way to fund that through investment in structural changes is a good thing.

You won't find s solution or even happiness,at the bottom of a bottle!

Is that seriously your only choice?

HarrietKettleWasHere · 07/06/2017 14:32

I've got in some gin.

I had hoped a few Tory voters would discover a social conscience in time...but I'm not holding my breath.

CheeseQueen · 07/06/2017 14:35

YABU - we live in a democracy. People can vote for whoever they want, and shouldn't be "told" who to vote for.

Rockaby · 07/06/2017 14:37

All we can do now is bulk buy booze for Friday in anticipation of either a celebration or drowning our sorrows in despair.

I'm pregnant so can't even drink !

GretchenFranklin · 07/06/2017 14:38

bless you OP

MissBax · 07/06/2017 14:39

Bambam - it really isn't that simple - if only.
It would mean that many trusts are sold off to private companies, not simply the land they're sat on (obviously). As someone working in the NHS we've been aware of this proposal for a while now. And noone in the NHS is happy about it - doesn't that tell you something?
I assumed this was public knowledge but it was only yesterday I realised how many of my non-nhs-employee friends weren't even aware of this!

YABVU....I'll vote for whoever I damn well please...as is my right

MissBax · 07/06/2017 14:40

cheese - calm down, I've hardly got a gun to anyone's head.

Rockaby - me too - will have to stock up on chocolate!!

OP posts:
ohhereweareagain · 07/06/2017 14:40

posts like yours op are the reason i ain't voting labour and why so many people voted brexit Smile

Rockaby · 07/06/2017 14:41

You won't find s solution or even happiness,at the bottom of a bottle!

Is that seriously your only choice?

As if anyone was seriously suggesting booze was the answer to our woes, political or otherwise Hmm.

MissBax · 07/06/2017 14:41

ohhearweare - I didn't once mention Labour, and if posts like this are the sole reason you vote for a perceived opposition, that's pretty naive and ignorant.

OP posts:
nobullshitallowed · 07/06/2017 14:43

I still have no idea who I'm voting for. To be honest I can't stand any of them, but will probably not be voting labour. JC is a shambles.

angelcakerocks · 07/06/2017 14:43

YABU - you've got your one vote and other people have theirs. Let people make up their own minds rather than thinking you know best.

CinderellaRockefeller · 07/06/2017 14:44

How on earth does it mean whole trusts would be "sold off"? How would that even work? Who would sell them? Would they sell themselves as a going concern?

MumIsRunningAMarathon · 07/06/2017 14:44
Grin
Ipigglemustdie · 07/06/2017 14:45

Short answer, no.
Long answer, noooooooooooooooooooooo

waitforitfdear · 07/06/2017 14:45

Already postal voted and not labour.

Sadly cannot and will not vote for them again until Corbyn and mc are gone.

Those who voted for them have the blood of the labour defeat on their hands and should hang their heads in shame

The poor the disabled and millions of ordinary people needed a strong opposition and havnt got one.

Again shameful

Rockaby · 07/06/2017 14:45

Rockaby - me too - will have to stock up on chocolate!!

Now Bax, really, is chocolate the answer hun? Wink

Mulch · 07/06/2017 14:45

Ohhereweareagain why would this post make you vote to leave the EU? I hope you've at least bothered to read some manifesto's. People should know what they are voting for

MissBax · 07/06/2017 14:45

angel, ohhearweare and cheese - so noone can ever try and persuade people to vote for or against parties ?
God knows how you manage to sit through a political party broadcast without your heads exploding!
