I am totally and shamelessly begging people not to vote for Theresa May.
Amongst a host of other reasons (education, policing, housing, pay etc), she has confirmed she fully backs the selling off of the NHS.

YABVVU
it is NOYB - we are all intelligent beings and why are you putting yourself in the position of trying to persuade anyone to vote a certain way - other than with their own democratic right and judgment.
and yet another sanctimonious thread with the same 'conservatives are evil' tone. Please give it a rest.

Bambamrubblesmum · 07/06/2017 15:26

Why are you ignoring the question OP?

InfiniteSheldon · 07/06/2017 15:27

Tory equals no social conscience? Offensive and wrong.

Jaxhog · 07/06/2017 15:27

PS. The Independent newspaper is about as 'independent' as the Telegraph is!

Nikephorus · 07/06/2017 15:28

I had hoped a few Tory voters would discover a social conscience in time...but I'm not holding my breath.
Examples like this are a good reason for not voting Labour. Who wants to be associated with people who can't handle others having a different opinion without feeling the need to insult them.

TSSDNCOP · 07/06/2017 15:28

In my real life friends and I discuss and occasionally disagree about politics. But seriously, no ones ever, ever tried to get me to change my vote the day before an election.

In a democracy sometimes the other side win. It's just how it is.

Morphene · 07/06/2017 15:28

just recovering financially whhhhaaa hahahaha

Surely that's the point? Everyone else (not following the bullshit austerity path) kick started true recovery long ago....not us...oh no....we are now back to going slightly backwards.

Tories have done an awesome job of holding back economic growth.....all so they can tell you 'yeah, but it would be worse if labour were in charge' with no evidence whatsoever.

FuckyDuck · 07/06/2017 15:29

I'm voting Tory, national security cannot be entrusted to Labour.

bojorojo · 07/06/2017 15:32

Not only a different opinion but actually pay a vast amount of tax already and employ lots of people who earn high wages because they are skilled. It is people like us who already pay for those who are less well educated or unable to work. I deeply resent being told I have no social conscience when I make a big contribution. In fact I would like those who don't do a lot out of choice to do a bit more and not just expect everything to be given to them by the work of others.

MissBax · 07/06/2017 15:32

fucky - how is May going to help national security? She's destroyed policing, and stocks Saudi with arms.

OP posts:
GladAllOver · 07/06/2017 15:35

It seems that every Labour supporter has been schooled to ask everyone around them if they are voting Labour. And unless they get a positive answer they have to say "So you are going to kill off the NHS!"
A complete and utter non sequitur.

BitOutOfPractice · 07/06/2017 15:35

And I will be voting Tory despite their rather lacklustre campaign.

I'm giving up MN now that I have read the biggest understatement of all time!

Decsbetterhalf · 07/06/2017 15:35

Already postal vote for Tory

PlayOnWurtz · 07/06/2017 15:37

I hate sanctimonious labour voters

bojorojo · 07/06/2017 15:37

Does anyone really believe that the local plod on the beat is going to smell a terrorist plot??? Really? They make little difference to security. They may make a difference to wellbeing. Does anyone truly believe that terrorists broadcast what they are going to do so widely the local white police actually know about it? As so many attacks have been foiled we know it isn't Police numbers that have made the breakthroughs. It is intelligence.

Dandandandandandandan · 07/06/2017 15:38

Borojo - this. It sticks in the throat to be told that you have no social conscience and don't help people when you make vast annual contributions!

becausebecausebecause · 07/06/2017 15:41

Voting Tory tomorrow with a spring in my step after reading your post OP Grin

ClarkWGriswold · 07/06/2017 15:41

No. You can F off though.

beepbeepimasheep · 07/06/2017 15:42

YABVVVU. Who I vote for is my choice and it's not the place of anybody to try and persuade me who to vote for, Tory or otherwise.

You can't convince me not to vote Tory, my mind is firmly made up who I am voting for and you will not be able to change my mind and nor will anybody else.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 07/06/2017 15:42

Yanbu

You crack on love Smile

bojorojo · 07/06/2017 15:43

You have to remember that Labour is a campaign to change how we think. Blair didn't do this but it is the life work of the far left and Corbyn. It is annihilation of the views of others and the establishment of a totalitarian society where the state controls everything. It starts with the railways. Always was and they won't change. A bunch of old trots who have used student politics (we want it all without paying a penny) to get supporters. It is uncomplicated and appeals to the naive.

Sittinonthefloor · 07/06/2017 15:43

yabu and I would urge everyone who wants to vote labour to google john McDonnell , shadow chancellor to make sure you are happy to be supporting him too. There's a reason we haven't seen him in the campaign and it's awful to think that people might not realise what they are voting for.

Two4One2017 · 07/06/2017 15:44

MIssBax - how is May going to help national security?

she doesn't have Diane Abbott, Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell on her team, who have voted against anti terror legislation since 1983, and are proud of it.

That's a good enough reason for many

Bambamrubblesmum · 07/06/2017 15:44

Ooooooppppppp are you going to carry on ignoringredients my question?

Who are you advocating for?

The longer you hold out the more suspect you look.

Bettercallsaul1 · 07/06/2017 15:45

I'm with you OP! I've never voted Tory and never will.
