I am totally and shamelessly begging people not to vote for Theresa May.
Amongst a host of other reasons (education, policing, housing, pay etc), she has confirmed she fully backs the selling off of the NHS.

Loving this thread. I wish I could copy the whole thing to my Facebook as a fight back against the endless memes saying how wonderful jc is

metspengler · 07/06/2017 15:50

"Discover a social conscience" - how rude.

voters for the other 2 main parties could just as easily say we hope Labour voters develop a conscience over the things Labour have done, over the future we hand our kids, and the economy.

It isn't good on one side and bad on the other, because we don't live in a nursery rhyme. There are "I'm alright Jack" Labour voters who put their own benefits or public sector job before the interests of the country, and Conservative voters who are gritting their teeth and voting in the national interest, and vice versa. Let's have enough respect not to assume the worst of each other.

Notanother1 · 07/06/2017 15:55

I think it's not unreasonable, to convince people to vote for their children's future.

I can't really understand how a bunch of mothers would vote for cuts to schools and the NHS that will be looking after their offspring for years to come. Tory voters seem a bit sadomasochistic to me, it's like they enjoy the pain!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 07/06/2017 15:55

Plenty of labour voters say they will vote labour because it will good for them personally.

Is that a social conscience?

Bambamrubblesmum · 07/06/2017 15:59

Thought so - Hi Labour HQ. How's it going?

Prove me wrong and name who you think has the answers.

makeourfuture · 07/06/2017 15:59

Social conscience is good for you personally. It confirms to yourself your wonderful humanity!!

Together we can!

Apart we are nothing!!

specialsubject · 07/06/2017 16:00

What will there be to celebrate on Friday? The options aren't brilliant any way you slice it.

Could be a lot worse, of course!

TotallyConkers · 07/06/2017 16:00

I can't really understand how a bunch of mothers would vote for cuts to schools and the NHS that will be looking after their offspring for years to come.

Whispers....'MN' doesn't just have 'mothers' posting Grin

Sittinonthefloor · 07/06/2017 16:05

I am thinking of my children by voting Tory. Not keen on the idea of borrowing now to pay for all the things JC wants and future generations having to pay for them! Also not keen on the idea of trashing the economy and cosying up to terrorists.

OliviaStabler · 07/06/2017 16:07

YABU. I'll vote Conservative and some random person on the Internet won't stop me.

sysysysref · 07/06/2017 16:08

Sorry I think I decided today to vote Tory for the first time in my life. I was going to vote lib dem but I've decided that as the only alternative to Labour is Tory I'm not going to allow my protest vote to do anything which might help labour. JC as PM and John MacDOnell the invisible man of the campaign. They will utterly destroy the country. When we have a proper labour opposition i will vote labour again. Where is Chuka, Dan Jarvis? Even Sadiq Khan wasn't seen until the attack in London. Nope, can't be persuaded

needsahalo · 07/06/2017 16:09

Does anyone really believe that the local plod on the beat is going to smell a terrorist plot??? Really? They make little difference to security

Perhaps ask the chap in this video that question? Scroll down to the second video.

waitforitfdear · 07/06/2017 16:11

Fuck op are you Dianne and have you escaped the dear leader yet again?

Mrswalliams1 · 07/06/2017 16:12

I'm voting Tory and have NO shame in doing so. Corbin will bring this country to its knees. He is a danger to national security, will bankrupt us with his borrowing, don't start me on brexit negotiations, taxing the shit out of businesses will cause them to fail or leave the country meaning unemployment, devolution - the list goes on. Theresa May isn't perfect but I feel much safer under her.

lubeybooby · 07/06/2017 16:14

I honestly don't know how anyone can proudly vote tory. I'd never be proud of being on the side of a party for the selfish, tax evading big business, the nasty and bloodthirsty, just because I 1) always have
or 2) have delusions of middle class and have fallen for all the press smearing of Labour or 3) am just a thundercunt

Conservatives rode to power by crowing about the national debt - the same national debt they have tripled in record time. Somehow though this is only a problem with a labour gov

You'll be sorry when there's no NHS, unless you earn 200k + per year at least.

Dandandandandandandan · 07/06/2017 16:16

Lubey - perhaps those earning over £200k might not want to see the £80,000 a year they pay in income tax, the 20% VAT and everything else spunked up the wall by an incompetent knitted dinosaur and his comrades.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 07/06/2017 16:16

I can't really understand how a bunch of mothers would vote for cuts to schools and the NHS that will be looking after their offspring for years to come.

Sorry I missed the memo that stated 'mothers are a homogenous mass that must all think the same'.

How strange.

Notanother1 · 07/06/2017 16:17

JC will be borrowing money to pay for our children's future from people who can afford it. Unlike the Tories who have doubled the national debt and trying to raise money from the vulnerable, young, old, disabled. (Where is JC's Money Tree...in the Tax Evasion forest!) not to mention the effect a hard brexit will have on the next generation.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 07/06/2017 16:19

lubeybooby has just perfectly put why there is the 'shy Tory' effect.

'Thundercunt' how mature.

I haven't fallen for any 'media smeering' . Like many others I won't vote Labour whilst JC is there.

HTH.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 07/06/2017 16:20

JC will be borrowing money to pay for our children's future from people who can afford it.

Not necessarily. Not everyone who sends DC to private school can afford to pay an extra 20% for starters.

Notanother1 · 07/06/2017 16:22

Sorry I missed the memo that stated 'mothers are a homogenous mass that must all think the same'.

Oh please.

I just assume that all mothers care about their children's schools and education. Possibly care about the care they might need in hospitals.

ohgoshIdontknow · 07/06/2017 16:22

YABU

Can't wait to get in that polling booth tomorrow.

Unlike Labour, I understand basic maths and know that money doesn't grow on trees.

Vote Conservative!

Belindarocks · 07/06/2017 16:23

I will vote Tory but wouldn"t dream of outing myself at work or on FB. I know a lot of Corbyn worshipers who claim that Tories are evil etc.
