I am totally and shamelessly begging people not to vote for Theresa May.
Amongst a host of other reasons (education, policing, housing, pay etc), she has confirmed she fully backs the selling off of the NHS.
Follow link above for the full Naylor Review.

I'll be voting conservative tomorrow, not because I want to destroy anything, or hate anyone, but because I dislike labour's policies most and I believe labour will do more harm than good.

Why? Labour has so many policies I disagree with, and is doing nothing to tackle the cost pressures the aging population is bringing round the corner. free tuition is a very expensive blanket policy that is sucking money away from primary and secondary education.

Expensive re-nationalizations shouldn't be a priority.

If Corbyn and his crew had focused on simply reversing cuts, sorting out disability claiming - getting these shoddy assessments sorted out, the NHS and primary/secondary education they'd have had my vote.

They're saying they'll do these things but their big spending commitments are not focused in these areas.

Aeroflotgirl · 07/06/2017 16:24

Please don't, its none of your business how people vote. Voting is meant to be a private and personal thing. I am fed up with mainly Labour voters, especially on my FAcebook, trying to pursuade people to vote for them, it is tiring!

TheNaze73 · 07/06/2017 16:25

You should have posted this 3 weeks ago OP, when the PV's went out. Some people will be far too busy working to be out voting

notanewuser · 07/06/2017 16:26

He will be borrowing money from our children to pay for today.

Tax evasion forest - do give us a clue as to how big this is and how it will be achieved?

Notanother1 · 07/06/2017 16:26

Not necessarily. Not everyone who sends DC to private school can afford to pay an extra 20% for starters.

Let me get out my tiny violin for you!

Sycamorewindmills · 07/06/2017 16:27

No, I won't be voting for Momentum thank you. Len McCluskey and his cronies aren't who I want to be leading this country.

Aeroflotgirl · 07/06/2017 16:27

Quite frankly also, it makes them look bad. Some Labour supporters on my Facebook are quite frankly aggressive about it. It leaves a bad taste, and does nothing to encourage me to vote Labour.

Belindarocks · 07/06/2017 16:29

The 10 pound nmw will cripple the Northern economy, never mind anything else. Not many local small businesses can afford to pay cleaners or shop workers this.

BillSykesDog · 07/06/2017 16:30

OP, I have responded to many threads on this Naylor report scaremongering. But you are by far and away the worst, most cynical and dishonest.

Saying that the Naylor report proposes selling off trusts is an outright fucking lie.

I would discourage anybody from giving credence to any of your claims because quite frankly they are bullshit.

If you have to stoop to the level of making up utter bullshit to get people to vote the way you want you might have to question why what your preferred politicians are offering is so unattractive you're reduced to deliberately misleading people to get their votes.

Calyrical · 07/06/2017 16:30

It's clear despite OP "not mentioning Labour" that's who she will be voting for.

The parties who have a chance of power are Labour or Conservative; ergo, if you are not voting for one you are for the other.

Nikephorus · 07/06/2017 16:30

Voting Tory tomorrow with a spring in my step after reading your post OP
Grin

Husk · 07/06/2017 16:31

They are stuffing the pockets of their mates again.

Previously they have sold off school playing fields either directly or starving councils to force them to do so.

Remember Railtrack flogged land and buildings worth multi million pounds before going bust because they couldn't be bothered to look after the tracks.

Now they have their eye on the NHS.

Some idiots need to go to specsavers

Frankiestein401 · 07/06/2017 16:31

Dadand - if I thought that most people earning over 200k were paying 40% tax I might not be quite so supportive of taxing the 5% - as in another thread I've reasonable confidence the effective tax rate for most will be less than 20%

It is too late now though - if we can't find an approach that prevents a party being elected on the basis of lies and distortion then democracy is stuffed and that never has a good long term outcome.

Notanother1 · 07/06/2017 16:31

He will be borrowing money from our children to pay for today.

Maybe get big businesses to pay tax! How is May achieving it by robbing the benefits of the young, disabled and old? But no, she's selling off the NHS to her big business cronies instead. That'll make her a nice profit Hmm

LadyinCement · 07/06/2017 16:32

Why on earth would I vote for someone based on the "begging" of some random internet person? No matter what party they were representing. Hell, I wouldn't even vote for the "I Love Dogs" party based on an idiotic post like that... and I love dogs.

It is an embarrassing opening post.

needsahalo · 07/06/2017 16:37

Not everyone who sends DC to private school can afford to pay an extra 20% for starters

Increasing numbers of people in full time work are having to make decisions as to whether they feed their children, pay the rent or fill the car with petrol to get to work the next day. People with serious disabilities have had their incomes reduced - nothing they can do to increase their incomes or improve their prospects. Do you seriously think it is acceptable - regardless of your political persuasion - to even consider the needs of families who currently afford full time education for their children?

Jesus wept.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 07/06/2017 16:37

The major geriatric/psychiatric NHS hospital where my father in law with dementia received excellent care for several months, was subsequently flogged off and is now luxury flats.

This was well over ten years ago - under Labour.
It's all right when Labour do it, is it?

Dandandandandandandan · 07/06/2017 16:38

There's a huge difference between people earning over 200k and paying tax - and the super rich avoiding it. If you go after the former too heavily, and they move or change their circumstances so they pay less, you'll lose 1/3 of income tax receipts.

There's the one thing that absolutely won't help the disabled, the NHS or anyone else. Corbyn and McDonnell will absolutely oversee that happening.

Then those on lower salaries will have to put their money where their mouths are about tax rises.

BillSykesDog · 07/06/2017 16:39

Some idiots need to go to specsavers

Sounds like you're due a trip yourself. You obviously need some reading glasses as that surely must be the reason you feel it's reasonable to comment on the Naylor report when you clearly haven't fucking read it or know the first thing about it.

And the biggest irony is the Naylor report has been welcomed by the NHS and will probably be implemented by Labour anyway if they win.

waitforitfdear · 07/06/2017 16:39

You are doing a great job op! Tory central office is on line 1 dear

Dandandandandandandan · 07/06/2017 16:39

Needsahalo - given that the kids at private school aren't costing the state to educate them, yeah, I do. If they have to be taken out of private school and go into state, that's another place needed and another £5k plus a year for the taxpayer to fund.

Penny wise, pound foolish.

lanbro · 07/06/2017 16:45

Too late, postal vote in already! Btw the way I am neither rich nor stupid Hmm

lizzyj4 · 07/06/2017 16:53

I've been bombarded by posts from Labour voters on Facebook too, along with SNP supporters - they're all really shouty. I'm tired of seeing it, they haven't made me change my mind about who I vote for, but I've pretty much avoided Facebook for the last few weeks. Went back on today to 'hide' all the shouty labour supporters and unfriend the SNP supporters (on the basis that even after the election is over, the SNP will still be bombarding us with stuff about indyref2 and generally being offensive about the English, which I am).

FlyingElbows · 07/06/2017 16:53

I will be very proudly not voting Tory tomorrow. I also have zero sympathy for tory voters wringing their hands about the school fees raise. Your tory government took my husband's job and my children had to leave their private school. They lived and so will yours.

Twinkie1 · 07/06/2017 16:58

I'll be there tomorrow to vote Conservative, nothing you could say would convince me that Corbyn and his cronies won't totally fuck over this country.
