I am totally and shamelessly begging people not to vote for Theresa May.
Amongst a host of other reasons (education, policing, housing, pay etc), she has confirmed she fully backs the selling off of the NHS.
Follow link above for the full Naylor Review.

'It just makes me realise that the person who says it has no respect for me and my views.'

Yeah, suprise!! Shock

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 08/06/2017 16:10

Yabu

I am a labour supporter, but if someone wants to vote Tory that's their choice. I don't agree with them but I respect their choice.
I hate all this "if you vote Tory you're evil/must be wrong/stupid" bashing etc. Same for anti labour stuff too.
We live in a democracy, apparently.

Sycamorewindmills · 08/06/2017 16:10

Thank God it will all be over tomorrow. Heartily sick of the election.

Parker231 · 08/06/2017 16:14

Voted Labour - wasn't a difficult decision as more of what we have today isn't worth thinking about and T.M doesn't have what it takes to get us through Brexit (didn't realize how poor she was in an interview/in front of an audience until this campaign) and she doesn't understand the police service, education needs, the NHS and most importantly social care for those who need it.

Rabbit01 · 08/06/2017 16:22

Labour wants to spend more money that we don't have, how will getting us into more debt help up?

Rabbit01 · 08/06/2017 16:22

Us even?!

TearsOnTheGround · 08/06/2017 16:30

My Facebook feed is FULL of bloody labour shite with people sharing endless quotes/links about voting labour.

I have my own mind and will vote who I want to vote for, not who someone tries to "persuade" me to vote for!

So I say two fingers up and piss off to anyone trying to tell me who I should be voting for!

Parker231 · 08/06/2017 16:31

Torys also want to spend money we haven't got but won't tell us how their plans will hurt us - dementia tax as an example

GerdaLovesLili · 08/06/2017 16:31

So what you're actually hoping for OP, (if you're not asking us to vote Labour) is a hung parliament, and a Labour led coalition? JC can't even agree with his own party, how do you think he'll cope with a coalition?

Just what we need with Brexit looming and a National Security emergency.

SquidgeyMidgey · 08/06/2017 16:31

Yeah, suprise!!

Is that your reasoned reply? The more I see of the Labour spit and fluff on here the more it seems this election isn't about class but articulation and comprehension. Its not the Conservatives, who have been called everything, and i mean everything, under the sun on here who are showing their Nasty side (deliberate capitalisation there). If Labour voters want people to vote for their party to help them they've got a peculiar way of drumming up support. Calling people twats (I had that particular mot thrown at me yesterday) and worse seems to be acceptable if they don't accept your 70s political ideology. If David Miliband came back I would vote for him in a heartbeat but Momentum aren't true Labour, they're the destructive side of trade unionism.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 08/06/2017 16:35

David R. Kamerschen, Ph.D.Professor of Economics.

Fun fact

He didnt write it...

Nothing else to add Smile

SquidgeyMidgey · 08/06/2017 16:38

GerdaLovesLili spot on.

NoLotteryWinYet · 08/06/2017 16:40

hear hear squidgey, if I'd foreseen the lurch to momentum I'd have pushed a lot harder for Ed Miliband - although, it was his talentless changing of the voting rules that led us to this particular pass. David, your country needs you...

NoLotteryWinYet · 08/06/2017 16:42

yes, for a man who's keen on talking to people, he's peculiarly bad at compromising with people of his own persuasion, based on what happened to every single person I had respect for in the PLP.

metspengler · 08/06/2017 17:14

I'd be to embarrassed to admit I'd voted tory.. just shameful

It would be very easy to make similarly silly comments in the other direction given the wars, the financial ruin+hilarious note, stealth PFI, Rotherham, mid staffs and the list goes on for a long time...

...but I expect you cast your vote with the best intentions in mind rather than because you are a pantomime villain.

You should realize the dumbed down political narrative where other voters are all scum and cunts is... stupid and repeating it is an overt statement to the world that you are unintelligent.

Okay, so is it just about feeling virtuous about yourself by insulting other people? Because it certainly is convincing people they are doing the right thing in voting Tory.

What are you going to do, throw shriller and shriller insults at every election until the Labour party dwindles away to a handful of Marxists and then sit around calling everyone else bastards?

CrossWordSalad · 08/06/2017 17:37

I don't believe this is true but at least it would be a rational thing to do. The "vote the way I say, you arse" line is just bizarre.

BusyBeez99 · 08/06/2017 17:40

Got a bottle of champagne on ice in the hope the Tories get back in

SquidgeyMidgey · 08/06/2017 17:41

The tirade-launching Labour voters on here need to realise that their encouraged proliferation, by similarly eloquent layers of the party, is the reason many true Labour voters now turn to the Conservatives. We care about our country, the Conservatives arent the best thing for ME and my family but i think they"re a much less disastrous option for the COUNTRY.

Oh yes, and "War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength;" (one of the three slogans of the English Socialist Party in 1984)

CalmShambala · 08/06/2017 17:45

Gosh, I wish I had seen your post earlier. I just voted Tory.

SquidgeyMidgey · 08/06/2017 17:45

I'm sure the Corbynistas would like a bonfire of Orwell's books. Probably all books come to that given what we see on here.

CrossWordSalad · 08/06/2017 17:47

Calm Grin
