I am totally and shamelessly begging people not to vote for Theresa May.
Amongst a host of other reasons (education, policing, housing, pay etc), she has confirmed she fully backs the selling off of the NHS.

I'm sure the Corbynistas would like a bonfire of Orwell's books. Probably all books come to that given what we see on here.

I find the fact that some Corbynites have bought up all copies of ceryain newspapers and burnt them today quite chilling.

Very chilling in fact.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 08/06/2017 17:48

*certain

pipsqueak25 · 08/06/2017 17:49

portia with you on this one, talking some common sense Smile

SquidgeyMidgey · 08/06/2017 17:49

Portia, I'm not trying to change anyone's mind. If memory serves me correctly you voted Labour, that's your right and I respect that. I don't respect those who call me names because they cannot extend me the same courtesy.

GerdaLovesLili · 08/06/2017 17:49

They probably think they're instruction manuals.

Sittinonthefloor · 08/06/2017 17:51

Shock if that is true piglet! Where did you see this?

PortiaCastis · 08/06/2017 17:51

Smile cheers pip I really do think that adults should behave and post like adults and quit the playground spats

metspengler · 08/06/2017 17:58

squidge somebody posted something about momentum burning newspapers for going against Glorious Leader earlier, would have been the perfect moment to link it can't bloody find it now Sad

GerdaLovesLili · 08/06/2017 18:04

Here's one of the newspaper removers. twitter.com/rubytandoh/status/872761143164637184

It's all very bonkers. She's paid actual money to people she despises.

SquidgeyMidgey · 08/06/2017 18:05

Met, it begins...

Portia, not another word I promise.

PortiaCastis · 08/06/2017 18:06

Roll on 10 pm

contrastcolour · 08/06/2017 18:07

As PP - I am normally a labour voter but no way can I vote for JC.

metspengler · 08/06/2017 18:08

The same sentiment is reflected in Labour policy, they would enforce section 40 which will basically end press freedom in the UK.

One of many reasons to hope the conservative party is the one the electorate picks out of the three shit sandwiches on offer.

GerdaLovesLili · 08/06/2017 18:11

How does this make any sense at all. Once you're burning books, you've lost. Especially if you had to pay people you hate for the privilege. I despair.

metspengler · 08/06/2017 18:12

I should point out that said act is going to be repealed by the Conservative government should they be re-elected, restoring the free press.

metspengler · 08/06/2017 18:13

*said section. Not the whole Crime and Courts Act 2014, they are repealing section 40.

I saw this earlier on, and its doing the rounds on facebook.

One of the best responses in our office from a young labour supporter (who will not vote labour with Corbyn) said something along the lines of:

"God I hate Murdoch-owned media so much I'll... I'll... buy up all his papers increasing his circulation and profits!"

PortiaCastis · 08/06/2017 18:41

Some newspapers are vile and their bias is obvious but most people can see through it.

BillSykesDog · 08/06/2017 18:46

All papers are biased. Being biased to agree with you doesn't mean they're not biased. The Guardian is just as biased as the Sun.

NoLotteryWinYet · 08/06/2017 18:49

I haven't bought a sun or a mail in my life - or a times! I used to be a guardian reader until a particular comment piece arguing there could be no need to pay academics more because they could still get people to fill the jobs! Managed to figure out Corbyn and his movement are Stalinist in tactics from observing their behaviour.

TearsOnTheGround · 08/06/2017 19:30

Some of the vile posts/things people I know on Facebook have really put me off them. People I thought were quite nice people have shown they aren't actually very nice and some actually bullies. People can vote for who they want so why do people almost have to make people voting the opposite out to be the devil? Confused

Bettercallsaul1 · 09/06/2017 08:04

Looks like a lot of people followed your advice, OP! Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 09/06/2017 09:11
