AIBU to be grossed out ?Autogynaphila and Mrs Goss

Not quite sure if my reaction is justified to be honest. Have just been in a conversation with a psychologist friend about feminism, trans issues and various theories of the advantages of gender rolls in evolutionary theory etc - wide ranging and pretty interesting as we are both gender critical but have differing views on biological aspects. He however raised the issue of late transitioning autogynaphils and how part of the fetish is being acknowledged as female/feminine/sexually attractive. I was sort of aware of autogynaphila but didnt honestly click what it ment or that it was a sexual fetish rather than an identity issue.
On Facebook I am member of Mrs Gloss a make up group and it's just occurred to me that its actually being used on occasion by autogynaphils to fuel their sexual fetishes if what he says is correct and it's really freaked me out to be honest.

What's an autogynaphil?

WhooooAmI24601 · 20/04/2017 20:19

I daren't google because last time I googled something I read on MN I needed counselling to recover.

WhooooAmI24601 · 20/04/2017 20:19

Also I'm on Mrs Gloss and it's not as lovely as it used to be.

Applebite · 20/04/2017 20:20

I saw Mrs goss and assumed it was something to do with bros Blush

WhisperingLoudly · 20/04/2017 20:20

No one reason why I stopped following MrsG

EllaHen · 20/04/2017 20:21

Yeah, I was thinking 'Matt or Luke?'

RockyBird · 20/04/2017 20:24

Yep, I came off of there as it was getting odd.

steff13 · 20/04/2017 20:27

It's my understanding that it's a man being sexually aroused by imagining himself as a woman. I guess I'm unclear as to why you're grossed out? In that, it doesn't really have anything to do with you or other women in general.

elQuintoConyo · 20/04/2017 20:29

Drop the Boy

elQuintoConyo · 20/04/2017 20:31

I googled it (took one for the team Grin) and steff13 has it right.

So...why has it freaked you out?

WhooooAmI24601 · 20/04/2017 20:34

But I've seen all sorts on Gloss without it seeming seedy, how would a man being aroused imagining himself as a woman affect me? How would you even know which men were aroused by that; surely some use Gloss as an outlet for interests aside from that?

BeyondUser24601 · 20/04/2017 20:35

Because agp's post pictures of themselves on mrs goss and get off on the positive "wish I had your legs" etc comments?
Does it not bother you a little to have someone wank over something you write?

MargotLovedTom1 · 20/04/2017 20:35

YABU. I don't understand why it would freak you out? If men are using a make up site to get their rocks off then how would you even know unless they openly declare it?

Wando1986 · 20/04/2017 20:36

Why would you be arsed if a bloke gets his rocks off by putting on a bit of lippy and some nail varnish/pretty lace?

Aren't men allowed to feel pretty too? Biscuit

StatisticallyChallenged · 20/04/2017 20:36

I have been aware of this on there for a while yes

MargotLovedTom1 · 20/04/2017 20:38

Oh well I'm obviously way off the mark; I've never even been on the site.
It wouldn't bother me if someone was having a wank over something I'd written - it's not like they're doing it in front of me.

WhooooAmI24601 · 20/04/2017 20:38

I'd assumed the posts of "you have amazing legs" were genuine men who enjoy dressing/living as women. Til now it hadn't occurred to me it went any deeper.

BeyondUser24601 · 20/04/2017 20:38

Would you fuck me
I'd fuck me

PossumInAPearTree · 20/04/2017 20:39

Why single out Mrs Goss?

It could happen here? Blokes could start threads about clothes, makeup, even post some pics of themselves in a dress or whatever. They could comment on other people's photos.

geddes · 20/04/2017 20:39

Exactly.

I have no problem with the people who are genuine. But I prefer not to be unwittingly used by someone else to help them get off. Hmm

MargotLovedTom1 · 20/04/2017 20:39

Is that an example of the witty repartee? WinkConfused

PhantomBlooper · 20/04/2017 20:41

Mmm, gender rolls

Wadingthroughsoup · 20/04/2017 20:41

YANBU OP. I understand why it bothers you, it would bother me too. Same as it bothers me (annoys me mostly) when men post weird stuff on here to try and get women to talk about their sex lives. It's just a bit deceitful really, isn't it? I'm sure there are specialist websites where they could indulge their fantasies in that way where all the participants know what they're involved in.

Pollypickypocket · 20/04/2017 20:42

It freaks me out as I don't particularly want to be part of anyone's random sexual fetish in a public place. I was asking AIBU as I really wanted to know if I was
